What the utter **** is he on about? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25647570 I know they struggled to beat us despite having 14 men in the pitch, but surely that is beyond desperation from him?
Man Utd now know how every other club in England feels when playing them for the past 25 years. Dicks.
Brilliant isn't it, fans of 91 other football league clubs who've watched those cheating b@stards over the past 25 years get bent decisions, have their players 'reffing the game' all coming together as one to piss ourselves with laughter at the trainwreck unfurling at Old Trafford. This really could be the end of the dynasty here, and those Man U fans under the age of 35, who've never known anything but success could be in for a MASSIVE shock over the next few years, they need to contact the official Liverpool Supporters club to see if they can start using their copyrighted, 'next season's our season' motto
The rantings of a desperate man. I thought they'd stick with him this season, whatever happened, but I'm beginning to wonder now.
This whole situation really does beg questions about the unreasonable amount of influence over refs that Ferguson had. Let's face it, we've all known for a long time that they get ridiculous decisions both for them and against their oppo but I largely thought it was because 'It's Man Utd'. Now they are finally seeing some kind of parity, if indeed maybe slight discrimination, and it's almost as if refs have been waiting for Fergie to disapear so they could address sopme of the inbalanace over the past 20 years. Cos I have no doubt that, say he returned to the hotseat (not that far fetched a suggestion) then the situation would completely revert back to type. And then there's the fact that he flatly refused to speak to the Beeb and other print media for years despite being contractually obliged to do so under FA rules. Nobody said a word but if Moyes tried this I imagine they'd crackdown hard on him. Its almost as if he had his own Fergie Law. So how did he manage this? Surely it's not intimidation cos Moyes would scare me more than a red faced gum chewing trainspotter lookalike. Did he have some mighty friends upstairs in the FA and refs associations?
I think it was easier to stick with Fergie way back then. Nowadays, the damage to the Man U brand could cost them literally millions of pounds, so my view is Moyes really won't have that long to prove he's up to the job. Can you imagine them going from last seasons success, to winning literally nothing, and even possibly not qualifying for Europe? Players are going to be less keen on going there, and it will start a glorious downwards spiral which will only reinforce the legend around Fergie but will finish Moyes off. He might last til the end of the season, but not beyond that at the current rate of results.
It's a human trait. Very few people reach this level of untouchability but when they do then it's very difficult for your 'average' person to hold them to account. In the football world, Ferguson became untouchable.
I reckon he'll get to the end of the season purely cos there's a world cup this year. Most 'big name' managers will be jostling for position of either getting an national team job or getting a good club job after finishing coaching a national team. I've always expected Capello to go there, even well before his England days, but I cant help think that his last days with England might have ruined it.
Moyes looks shell shocked, he hasn't a f**king clue what he needs to do to stop this slump IMO. He's got the thousand yard stare in interviews, I think it 's dawning on him he's out of his depth. Brilliant.
Out of all the managers in my entire career of attending press conferences Moyes is undoubtedly the worst. You would not believe what he's like to non-broadcast media. He literally, no word of a lie, has never said more than a one word 'yes or no' to leading questions from journalists. Journo: "David, would you say you're suffering from injuries and bad refereeing decisions?" Moyes: "yes" The headline then screams: UTD ARE VICTIMS Moyes in shock claim that will stun football
Before the season started I posted that he was a whinger and a "poor me" manager - which no one else agreed with. SAF - you made a mistake appointing a fellow Scot who had won nothing and not proven with a large transfer budget and who was unheard of outside of the UK. If they sign no big names in this transfer window and they falter in the Champions League (his only slight saving grace at the moment) then I can see him gone by Easter and Fergie is kept out of the decision making process for their next manager - and looking at former United players managing in top flight divisions, I can see Bruce being on their shortlist. That posting makes me sound like a United fan, urgh.
If they get rid mid-season I'm 99% - nay 100% - sure that they would reappoint Ferguson in a caretaker role until after the world cup. Might be worth a bet.
I used to admire how honest Moyes was at Everton but he's turned into a right **** at United. I really hope they miss a place in Europe. Ferguson left him with an ageing side. I think he is the only person who could get them playing again.
Plastic Glory Hunter! Ok seriously, I think they shoulda gone for Martinez before from within the PL, if they didn't they'd go for a big foreign name. By that I mean someone currently managing outside of England. Not just someone actually foreign. Just to be clear.
