This guy is well worth a look - great midfield presence and would do well at Cardiff. http://www1.skysports.com/football/...htons-liam-bridcutt-hands-in-transfer-request
Good little player who was their star at our place last season. Sparks I think we both commented on him then. Not dissimilar in style to Pitbull, perhaps plays a little further forward. Very good at breaking up play and setting his team up to move forward. Looks like Poyet at Sunderland has first dibs on him though.
Sod off Stevo - I saw him first!!............ As for his old manager tapping up - very probably, but I'd bet he'd be influenced by an offer from OGS. Reckon we could pay more as well - that always helps.
Not very enthused about Diouff. His record at Blackburn was poor. I would hope OGS would be looking to spend some decent cash on a decent and proven striker, with perhaps Cornelius going the other way as a makeweight
It might be that with FC we have the striker we need if we can get him the service. Wide men and a centre mid playmaker should do us. Medel and Mutch with someone to pull the strings with a bit more dynamism than Whitts with Noone / Kim / Bellamy out wide (or a new signing or two). Should see FC get a bit more service.
Yes but now he has sent Maynard out on loan FC's only back up is Joe Mason and Cornelius. PO is not an out and out striker. Definitely need a proven striker for back up, if not to compete for the first team. Unsure whether OGS will pay 2 forwards though. City desperately need some pace down the left wing. Bellamy can add experience but has lost that yard. Hope OGS has a flying winger in mind. Zaha?
Talk is that OGS adopts a similar style to MU of yesteryear. A flying winger and a long crosser a la giggs and beckham with more of a 442. Be interesting to see how this pans out over the next couple of weeks.
We have a number of players who can run and chase balls into the danger areas, what we need is players who can feed balls through defenders rather than those who pass directly to feet. This is where the Norwegian midfielders will play. Then he is looking to break quickly from defence with more concern to a pass to one of our players than a long ball back to the other side. I would imagine he is more than happy to see the talent in the squad we already have, he will look closely at players that do not seem up to this standard. jck
this was my first sentiments on him too, but he's got 5 goals in 12 games this season and twitter talk has a few german fans saying he'll be sorely missed and is irreplaceable in current form/mood for Hanover. £2.5m is nothing for a PL striker and we'd almost certainly get that or more back if we need to send him back to Germany.
OGS says he plays as a quarterback. Sounds like some bench time for Whitts. 23, a good age. One or two battle hardened vets wouldn't go amis. Going to need someone to steady the ship. This guy with Medel and Much could be a nice CM combination unless he goes 442. He's been training with us since the weekend so may get a start on Saturday.
bloody hell he hit every branch in the way down from the ugly tree. but still positive player who fits into the Carrick role as far as i can see
CCFC - yes I thought he had been heavily touched by the ugly stick. Hope it's a reflection of battles won not lost!!! Good news all the same and much needed competition for our midfield where Cowie and Gunnar have been weak sub links of late.
