You **** the bed as well mate?

Yes you're right Billy but I'm more confident this time around with Gus in charge, he seems to know exactly who he wants unlike some of his predecessors.

Agree, Varga's debut was the best I have ever seen and don't think it will ever be beaten. Alonso had a good game tonight though.

Alonso's is better, for me, because of the circumstances around the debut .............. he was almost parachuted onto the pitch with his boots on <laugh>

He looked cool and composed. I remember him from the Bolton game at home in the FA cup last season - he looked a very, very tidy player during that game. Obviously I didn't know who he was at the time(like a lot of the Bolton players), but remember checking out who he was etc after the game.

Hopefully the club have an option to buy agreement in place

I was amazed to see him near the United corner flag, in the last few minutes, still battling away and taking the game up the pitch.

It was an incredible performance from someone who was introduced to his team mates in the tunnel.

I know Varga stood out a mile, on that day, but Alsono came in and played like it was a 'behind closed doors' practice match ............ cool as could be against difficult opponents.

And he's only a kid as well remember who arrived at the club only a day or so before the game. Mighty impressive.

He won a few headers in our own box as well in second half. Seems tall which we are short of (no pun intended) in our team when defending set pieces etc. Good technical ability, pacey, good in air....goodbye Dossena

Don't know about Alonso as didn't see the game but he sounds like a great fit in the team, but I always remember the debut for one of Reidy's gems - MILTON NUNEZ.

What an impact he had. Still makes me laugh :)

absolutely great for us to at long last have a player who makes the team look balanced ,he defends well and he gets forward and puts crosses in on the move ,his fitness looks ok as well, a fantastic signing by gus and his team this should lift the team as well

He did put some wicked crosses is mind, if Fletch or Jose can't score from them they'll never score. To get motm on your first outing is some achievement.
