According to QPR transfer news on Facebook, the latest striker to be linked with us. I posted last season that he might just might be a good signing. With game time I am sure he would be good alongside Austin.
I think he would be a good signing. He's had his moments and surely at this level will be great, especially with his physical strength. But I'm also aware that we can turn players to ****. Only the most mentally strong can cope here!
How is it that we always seem to get linked with everybody out there? I wonder if this is the same situation at other clubs during the transfer window?
I sanction this move.... would work with Austin. With Simpson, Phillips, Traore whipping in crosses mmmmmmm
Agreed, loan only. A bit of a handful on his day, but has never displayed consistency. If he does well during his loan spell, then consider for a permanent move.
I`ve heard its likely to be an 18 month contract if it goes ahead, also Peter Crouch rumours still doing the rounds, we need someone to take the pressure off Charlie though, the sooner the better IMO.
Decent enough player but not that great a strike rate, I think we should really push to get Wells in before someone else does. Hughes has said he doesn't plan to let Jones go which pretty much puts to bed any chance of a loan, would have to make a good offer for a perm, I'd rather get Crouch.
Bradford have reportedly turned down a 2 million pound offer for Wells. I'm hoping that was us and that we'll go in with a better offer as I think he'd be perfect for us.

Harry Redknapp has made no secret of his search for fresh firepower. Well January wouldn't be January without Harry crying out for a new signing or two. He may be barking up the wrong tree with Jones, however, because Mark Hughes has just said his big striker is going nowhere in January.Elsewhere, former Liverpool favourite John Aldridge claims his old club dropped a clanger by allowing Oussama Assaidi to join Stoke on loan at the start of the season and replacing him with Victor Moses. “Hindsight is a great thing," said Alridge, "but we would have been better off keeping Oussama Assaidi and not signing Moses. "Assaidi has contributed a lot more for Stoke during his loan spell than Moses has for us.” Sadly, Premier League rules prevent Assaidi demonstrating as much this weekend when he is barred from playing for Stoke against parent club Liverpool.
