I know this is going to sound like complete madness but just listen 1 sec. Mata can't get in the Chelsea side at the moment, Chelsea certainly don't want to loan him or sell him to one of the top clubs in this country at this point in the season. Mata needs first team football to get into the world cup side and Gus is has a fantastic relationship with Chelsea. Why not approach them for a loan till the end of the season, sell it to Jose that we will play him against the other top sides with a bid to take points off them. Its a win win for everyone involved. I know its not going to happen but at this stage surely we need some out of the box thinking.

Can't have any more season long loans anyway as it stands. Doubt Ki or Borini would sign permanently regardless of weather their clubs would sell this month. They're here for the season, why would they sign permanently when we could go down? Now for the really unrealistic bit. I think Mata would turn us down, just a hunch like.

Great dream but the reality is he wouldn't come; we couldn't afford his wages even short term and lastly, there would be a host of champions league clubs in the queue if he were released. Nice to dream though all the same.

HAHAHA thanks for the responses guys, put a smile on my face anyway. I would love to be on the board of directors telling them to go for these sorts of deals, the thing is I would probably get laughed out of the board room. The thing is if you don't ask you don't get. I managed to get Lou Reed, Brian May (from Queen) and Steve Winwood to play at our small venue in Leamington Spa. I almost got Ozzy Osborne 2 years ago. The thing is people think things are impossible so don't try or worry about getting laughed at, sometimes its worth asking the question.
If Carlsberg did loan deals they'd be loan deals like us getting Michael Chopra for a £48m fee on £800,000 a week. The ****ers can't make beer that doesn't taste like piss yet so they'd be better off concentrating on that. As for the idea of Mata... It's about the same as us going for Cavani in the summer.
