Yes, I'm sure that they would tell Phil Buckingham if they were interested in Max Gradel. http://hereisthecity.com/en-gb/2014/01/06/sp-leeds-face-premier-league-competition-for-max-gradel/? I think this one will run on until he signs for whoever.
Good job he could be coming here then Andy, a massive club like ours should massage it nicely Seriously tho we are a fantastic club!
****'s sake am I supposed to be on here 24/7. It will forever baffle me that Alex Bruce has managed to go even half a season pretending to be a PL player, wouldn't have him ahead of any of our 4 current centre backs. Although there's a chance he is one who couldn't handle the constant pressure here, used to throw up at the side of the pitch every match.
I must say simon, I feared the worst when he signed, and was pleasantly surprised how steady a defender he was last season. I feared the worst when he was in the starting XI against Liverplop, and was astounded just how good a defender he can be.
To be honest, I think Steve Bruce just knows how to get the best out of CBs, for obvious reasons. AB, McShane and Davies have all improved massively since being managed by Bruce Snr.
Max Gradel is simaliar to Aluko Very good player if he is in he mood. When he isn't he sulks a lot and is a liability Overall he would be a very good signing if you got him
Absolutely agree with above. He was one of the few players I wanted to cut loose in the summer. However, it turns out he really has learnt to defend. The nervousness thing is a theory, but for us, he's more a 'big game' kind of player so doesn't seem as big a problem any longer. I think playing alongside Huddlestone (especially), Chester and Davies suits him. His main mistakes came from poor passes in dangerous areas. Playing alongside excellent ball players who are willing to have the ball off him in tight situations diminishes this somewhat.
Not being awkward but that sounds nothing like Aluko really. Aluko is brilliant in almost every game he plays in, it's just injury that's hindered him. He seems to have a very good attitude, never seen him sulking nor would I ever describe him as a liability when he plays.
I couldn't work out if one was a comment on the style of play being similar and the other was just a comment on Gradel's attitude which has been commented on before.
Gradel's attitude was fine with us, great even, the big change we saw during his time at the club. As I've said, if he does go to you, and you get the same player who left us, you'll be very lucky.
Sorry Simon, i've just come back on line. Alex may not have handled the pressure of playing for a big club.... He seems to thrive in the premier league though I'd forgot about him chucking up too. That was last season though... in the second division... Ahh...
