Vermaelen over Flamini for me. Need a left footer playing at LB, because Cardiff are going to sit back and we need our full backs to attack, and Verm can at least cross with that left foot and if he gets in good positions can shoot. Also, Wenger will look to give Vermaelen as much game time as possible.
From what i've read on twitter, looks like Giroud is out for tomorrow. Bendy through the middle, with Akpom on the bench for me.
Akpom has been **** everytime he has had a chance with the first team. Personally i can't ever see him being good enough for Arsenal. But i suppose so far i haven't seen much of him and he could prove me wrong!
Wenger on Ozil: "The specialist says he could be ready for Saturday. I believe he will be short though."
Bendy apparently sprained his ankle, so not the worst injury, but does mean a couple weeks out depending on how bad the sprain is.
FA cup will be used to give some squad players a chance. Long rest for the others and a chance for the injured players to get fit. This slight break couldn't have come at a better time for us.
Would be annoying, but it won't be devastating blow to us. The run of games we have is pretty good, and Giroud should be back for the Villa game. Also, Gnabry has proved his quality and has shown that he is also an option to consider.
Doesn't sound too good. At least we have a fit and firing Gnarby on our hands and the run of games aren't against the top 4. We still have a good front line with Giroud, Pod and Ozil coming back.
That's a real shame for Walcott. Feel bad for the lad. He's been playing really well lately. Wenger has to sign another forward now!
Of course he can. He might not, but I am more hopeful about him filling it than some random unwanted forward, that hasn't practiced or played with us, hasn't played any English football, and who might be available in the transfer window. I do agree with your first point though, it is a blow.
Very big blow. Theo is an absolutely key member of the squad. Arsenal will miss not just his experience, goals and assists, but the way he scares teams and makes them sit deeper, opening up space for others to play through in midfield. This is a very big loss. Whoever takes over - Gnabry, Ox, or a new player - Arsenal are losing a lot of experience and some fear factor.
