Those machines seem to be driven by the most feckless and lazy twats society has to offer. I was at the metro few weeks ago and saw one of these characters and began to tell the girlfriend about the obese Americans I'd seen on my travels who see these machines as a viable alternative to using their legs. I swear at that moment 2 fat ****s came round the corner in matching. buggies and I'm not ashamed to say I laughed in their faces. 30 minutes later we spotted them blowing their giro, in one of the all you can eat buffets where they had to walk to get their grub.
I have to say the way he worded that gave me a second wind as well, 'only found out when he stopped going forward & started going down'/ Ah ha ha ha.
I have an image of some old boy out on his errands, determined not to be beaten by a spot of bad weather. realising his fate, he takes his cap off, gives a salute and starts singing 'land of hope and glory' whilst going under.
Hahaha, Comm, I was just thinking Uncle Albert. It's sick that we are all on this wavelength, funny sick like
for some reason I had Windsor Davies flitting through my virtual casting couch, but uncle Albert is perfect.
speaking of gallows humour a few urban legends on here but funny nonetheless http://www.darwinawards.com
You're right Smug, laugh in the face of adversity. Of course we care because basically we are all good people. My mate is dying of cancer right & my other mate who is a staunch Newcastle fan had been to see him & he reckons he's down to about 5 stone now. A big strong man who cut the coal face at Wearmouth reduced to that. Anyhow, down the bar the other day I got a bit dewy eyed & wet faced over this in front of everyone & I'm starting to apologise because it made me feel less of a man you know. Anyway, my Newcastle mate, who is a cracking bloke by the way said, "why would it make you less of a man because you care about your mate?" And he's right, we all care.
I would never admit on an open forum, in front of everyone, that I had found this funny despite the tragic circumstances surrounding it and laughed as well. Never.........oh bugger.
Not my sense of humour as it is a terrible habit of mine to imagine the tragedy and heartbreak that is left behind when things like this happen. However, I don't for one second look down on or judge people who do find laughter in tragedy..
bit sick if you ask me , its like saying ,aint it sad to think that Schumacher's final pole position was the one that went up his arse
and what with another german Angela Merkel hurt in a skiing accident as well its a case of "don't mention za snow"
