I would have thought given the amount of seasons you've spent in the bottom two divisions you'd know whether we're in it or not! You Tigers fans eh? City fans were alot more knowledgeable than you lot are.........
Even when we were in div 4 we managed to get past Rochdale in the Cup - admittedly in second replay at a then big club. How times change.
I completely disagree with the reaction of the fans yesterday, but I also think it's a bit rich other club's fans lording it above 3,400 fans trailing to Rochdale in the middle of winter to watch their team not look like they're even trying. There's a reason this video's getting any attention amongst Leeds fans, and that's because stuff like this never happens, it takes a hell of a lot to get a reaction like this out of Leeds fans.
I've just a look and felt the need to post. It's all EireLeeds this and Irishzak that (or whatever he's called)and the odd tricolour can be seen. It's confused the **** out of me.
The exact same happened at the KC last season. As the players and Warnock walked over to the away end they were greeted by abuse and "what the ****ing hell was that?" FACT.
these are exactly the thoughts of my brother in law who is a home and away TWS fan and was at Rochdale. he refuses to act in the fashion but understands after that performance, why a section of the support vocalised their frustration. he stated it's as bad a 90 minutes as he's ever seen in terms of passion, fight and effort.
You don't have to like it or dislike it. It's not meant to be funny to you, so it's not that much of a surprise you don't find it that way. It's easier than typing Leeds, and it's a quite nifty little nickname IMHO. Unless you prefer vermin?
Yes, and for the vast majority of fans, including myself, that was the last straw as far as Warnock was concerned, you might also remember it was another in a string of losses for us and we didn't get a single shot on target all game. Once a season FFS, I've seen some teams' fans booing for not being ahead at half time.
We were massively outplayed. It could have been 3 or even 4 with the chances they had. I don't think anyone hasn't accepted it. It amazes me how so many people think the actions of a few means the other few thousand are the same. What it does show is that they're passionate. This was only a 3rd round FA Cup tie aafterall. Most fans couldn't give a **** about this competition, which is a disgrace in my opinion......
Not just outplayed, but outfought. Rochdale wanted it so much more, and as a Leeds fan I think that's just not acceptable. I can accept going out of the cup, even to an underdog, it was the manner in which it happened that hurt so much.
We have this all the time in the Cup. We've been out to Macclesfield, Crawley Town, been taken to replays and extra time by Leyton Orient. It's because the Cup means more to Lower League teams because the players can effectively put themselves in the shop window for a bigger Club and therefore up their performance. Not to mention the fact that Cup runs are more financially beneficial to Lower League Clubs. Being outfought should be expected. That's why it wouldn't surprise me if we go out to Southend in the 4th round later this month. They have more desire. That reaction isn't justifiable.
See, I know you're a decent poster but that last line is typical of the Leeds United attitude. You seem to genuinely believe your club's fans are a cut above anyone else's.
I don't, but it says a lot about modern football that knowing it's an extreme rarity for us to boo our own players somehow means I think we're "a cut above". If Hull fans are the same then I think that's great, it's something I'm not fond of at all.
