    That sends out the message we are a small club with no ambition , rest players against team like arsenal at home ? cause likelihood we will get beat ?

    Good chance we were never going to win this cup also

    I'd call it managing the squad and I'm not really interested in what people read into it in terms of "sending messages" etc. Its about reality, the reality for me is we are not going to be challenging at the top table. We don't invest enough or have enough ambition to do so in the short term. I'm not convinced we do in the long term either. We don't have some sugar daddy like other clubs who wants to throw money at it.

    So ultimately I think the best thing is for us to select games where we will struggle to take points to rest players. You have to cut your cloth. Don't get me wrong we did ok against Arsenal, but it has had a negative impact on the West Brom and Cardiff games. In the cold light of day we've lost three in a row so it hasn't really worked out for us. We've seen this before, yet we have repeated the same mistake which is what is annoying for me.

    Could you tell us a little about your owner as he seems a very quiet private person.

    Over the years there has been really bad reports about him especially concerning how easy it was ripping fans off for Newcastle shirts.

    Given our shirt prices are in line with all other clubs (including many championship clubs) I'd say.. at a rough guess it's camel **** put out by the press.
    I'm a happy ST holder with two tickets for just over £450 the pair (not each) so for all his personal faults and f*** ups... I have affordable seating to watch my team. Happy with that. It could be worse, we could have that looney Tan as our gaffer. If that were the case we'd probably have Ant and Dec as managers with Gazza in charge of coaching.
    All we need to do now is get consistency on the pitch... but that's a different story...
