He showed so much potential towards the end of last season. Now playing in the Championship and would surely see us as a step up. He's been playing in a team under Martinez that matches our style of play as well.

    Thoughts?

Hasn't done much this season, think he's suffered injury. I do like him and if the price was right he'd be a good addition. Could try and offload a couple of players in Wigan as part ex

Yes from me, with the right management he could be a top player. Just what we need too a quick tricky winger with an eye for goal. The big plus is he would possibly come unlike many others.

Very good & direct player, looked to have added end product last 3rd of last season before injury.

I think he's in with the several types of players we need, a definite yes here.

Definite yes I can't believe nobody has gone in for him yet. Is there any rumour about it or is this just theoretical?

No rumour mate, I was just asking the question.

Another one I have always liked is Cerci at Torino as well, a right winger with plenty of pace. Can beat players and get a ball over or just as easy cut in and get his shots off. Lately though he's been playing in the hole behind Immobile and they have been quality together. He averages about 1 in 3 since he joined Torino and considering he's been mainly used as a winger, that's an excellent record. He's just what we need.

Mentioned him the other day mate, they have a few worth watching, as they are skint.

We were linked with Danilo D'Ambrosio, a decent LB, onv if we've scouted they will have noted Cerci & Immobile, a cracking striker improving all the time.

I did a massive sales pitch on Immobile somewhere on hear the other day, ha.

Cerci is probably out of reach, having stated he will only go to a CL club, Arsenal were linked.

The lad is constantly being sold though, that always makes you wonder, although in Italy, many decent players are sold constantly.

Seen him rip Inter a new arsehole last season and I've raved about him ever since.

Cerci and Immobile would be formidable in the premier league for us (makes me kinda wet tbh)

I never knew they had money troubles..... Now would be an ideal time to get them in!

They don't have money trouble as such mate, just that income to mid-table clubs in Serie A is next to nothing, so they would struggle to resist a decent bid.

I found some good stuff on Immobile.

He was seen as a gamble, as he'd never really filled the promise of his youth at Juve, and as such was offered only £6500 week, which he accepted.

    £6million & 15k a week? Not even a gamble.

    Yes, depending on the price

Wigan were seriously overcharging for players in the summer, so unless that's changed I can't see Poyet/De Fanti spending a lot of money on 1 player

That, on it`s own raises serious questions for me.
Expected him to be snapped up.
Perhaps they know something we don`t.

Thought we'd put a bid in for him at the start of the transfer window before start of season. Sure I can remember a thread about it. Could also be talking utter bollocks mind.....:/

Didnt he get a really bad injury at the end of last season. Would answer the question of why no.one went in for him,.probably assessing his recovery. He's pally with James McClean so i imagine he'd talk ****e about us to him.
