    Pardew's FA Cup record...

Lost to Brighton twice, Stevenage and now Cardiff at home.

Not good enough. We are unlikely to qualify for Europe, we won't go down and can't win a cup.

    Season effectively over. ****ing sick.

I'm not going to go on, but his F.A. Cup record is atrocious. First of all, why start Steven Taylor? Secondly, why the **** would you bring on Obertan when we went 1-0 up? That's effectively nullifying our advantage. The **** shouldn't even be in the squad.

Sad fact is that Pardew was outdone by a rookie manager in his first game in charge in England today. It's just not good enough, I'm sure we'd all agree on that. Last year at least he had an excuse.

Why didn't Sammy get a run out? I hope Obertan gets shipped out pronto, and maybe Saylor can go with him.

Anyone thinking Obertan has any use in a game needs their head examined. Pardew carries on his pathetic FA Cup record.

Sorry but Sammy, Obertan and the rest of the clowns that can't make the first team are a load of ****, and shouldn't be getting a run out anywhere. We should be able to bring quality on, not scrape the barrel with players like this.

HBA can **** off this month for all I care, the useless twat. How can he dare ask Pardew to start??

Queue people claiming this is an overreaction etc.

His cup record is sickening. He either doesn't rotate or changes the whole team. Why leave Williamson out??? Our back 5 have never played as a unit before, bound to be rusty. Williamson had to start.

Bringing on Obertan was pathetic and as stated above Pardew has just been outdone by a rookie.

I would much rather the season be "effectively over" than fight a late season relegation fight. I agree about the cup record though.

Who says it has to be either/or though?

    Why can't we have both?

Especially when past results suggest that Taylor and Mapou just don't seem to work together, whereas we've seen a good partnership between Willo and Mapou form this season.

I disapprove of this chant, as it is a double negative. Therefore it is grammatically incorrect.

I was more than happy with the team Pardew selected. They just didn't play well enough to get the win.

Cups are mixed bags, they just are. There wasn't a queue around the block for the Bradford manager that got them to the final... There's a lot of moving pieces and, whether you like it or not, it takes the stars to align for a club like ours to do anything significant in a cup. League record is vastly more informative than cup record, and the league record pretty much states Pardew is a mid-table, average boss.

As a club, we're massively reliant on 12 or 13 players, whereas the CL teams can rely on 20+ players to do a good job. It probably helps our club to be out of the cup so early, because the lack of strain gives us our best shot at a decent league finish. It's ever so sad, but it's true. Paul Lambert wasn't talking our of his ar$e earlier in the week, he was speaking the truth. Fans will pi$$ and whinge about being out of the cup, of course, but this opinion is more based on a "well, because that's how we SHOULD feel, the cup's romantic, it is" than the reality of modern football.

For me, it's just that a cup run would be nice, but if/when we lose, no matter who the opposition, you just have to shrug and move on. There's simply no need for hysteria.

His record is shocking in the cups. Certainly not a reason to go overboard, want him sacked etc as that would be silly but nevertheless his record is very poor since coming.

The clubs current thinking on the domestic cups is sickening for fans. I can't help but feel that filters through the club to the manager, to the coaches, to the team. Its **** and confirms its about money not glory. Not that we thought any different but its gonna grate.

All that said the players playing were good enough to win the game and didn't perform.

Belittling an opposing opinion - and a perfectly legitimate one held by a considerable number of people at that - is not something I imagine you'd be too happy me doing. Really poor stuff.

Nah just an opinion, you are reading too much into things. Would it have been better if I'd put "In my humble opinion.............." before or would you moan like a virgin regardless?

Or, perhaps, you could have refrained from calling anyone opposing your position silly, in such an awfully arrogant, dismissive tone?
This is just such awful, cringeworthy stuff. Profoundly embarrassing.
