Ah right. Well he must have had a titful at Man City now, but if he wants to keep getting paid his City wages (which I don't blame him as it has set him up financially for life) I don't see why we don't offer to take him on loan in the summer, especially as he is at WBA atm
We may already have a striker but as the gaff never plays him we will never know if he can put the ball in the net
Heard on Talkshite today that one of my fave players in Europe Mohamed Salah (the Egyptian Messi) is on his way out of Basel for £10M which is an absolute steal imo. Trouble is Liverpool are interested so he'll spend most of his time on the bench whilst his promising career goes down te toilet. What a signing he would be.
Going to a big club is not always the best move Dai! Especially for player development! Again you show how completely clueless you are!!!! Just look at Zaha! Massive talent just sitting there on the bench not progressing and getting frustrated!!!
That's my point, saa. I accept many (maybe most) players won't turn down a huge paycheck but it can often cripple their career. Look at Aspas who was hailed as a real talent but rarely gets on the pitch for Liverpool. He'd be on a fraction of the wages here but would be playing regularly imo. We'd still make him a millionaire if he isn't one already but he turned us down. I'm sure players like Scott Sinclair and Wayne Bridge have moments when they think about the huge damage that was done to their careers by big money moves to huge clubs who stockpile talent. I'm certain Salah will go to a top side but I hope for his sake it's somewhere that he'll get game time. He's going to be a big star somewhere. He makes our Nathan look like he's dragging a bag of cement.
yes your right but if we were up the top where we should be then i would agree but down the bottom then he will look for better placed clubs. Liverpool will always be the club to consider first and it would depend on what they would offer. If it was as a bench warmer then even with more wages it would be better with us,
"but if we were up the top where we should be" "Where we should be" !!!??? Wow,that's some claim, and is not borne out by anything that has taken place so far this season.
We have a very thin squad atm, if he came I very much doubt he'd sit on the bench, he's a much better option to have on the left than Moses, our other options are either out on loan or are too young atm to make a step up to the first team permanently.
Could possibly see that happening if we weren't so light up front, Sturridge out injured, Suso, Assaidi and Borini all out on loan and Moses and Aspas who haven't picked up any kind of form atm. However if we get in two wingers this window, as well as Sturridge coming back from injury then it may be possible, but Rodgers may regret it IMO. Would do him (Sterling) the world of good though, playing for a team like yours, fast paced, short passing type of play.
I think tho if Liverpool are serious about a CL place then they need experience rather than young talent!! I think ince may have the talent but not the experience. It would be a massive jump from championship to premier league top 4.
