Personally i do not think we will go for either, lets be honest about this, neither player is proven at this level and both would be a bit of a punt.

I reckon £4 million for Ince and not a penny more. Zaha on loan is a good option.

We need a bit of experience in a dog fight.

The fancy dans will come for next year and the year after. We need a couple of warriors for the short term. I think that is important as what we bring in is what we get rid of.

Kev coming in suggests Connelley is not long for our club. Will Ole see more in Brayford than MM did?

Inetersting that the Molde 'keeper has been touted as a possible. Not sure he'd get in front of Marshal.

I can imagine Marshall, Caulker, Medel, Mutch and FC remaining the spine of the team. What fits around that will be interesting to watch. Will this be the making or the breaking of Whitts? Beallamy and Noone out wide? Kim to get more game time?

If it's more attacking play OGS wants, some of these players need to come to the fore with similar or better players recruited to provide depth.

Marshall has proved his worth time and again, had to think of him being replaced.
Bet there are a few nervous bodies around the training ground now, Hudson seems positive about it all though, glad to have a chance that he wasn't getting under malky.

Hopefully this will be the end for Kiss, Gunnar, Connolley, Smith, though I'd keep Cowie as a utility midfielder for the bench at least until the end of the year. Championship quality, but he's stepped up more than most.

Fresh eyes on Breyford and Cornelius and hopefully a couple signings. Two signings and two loanees would be nice. A left footed CB, two wingers and a back to goal striker should do us. If that can keep us up, 4 or 5 more changes in the summer.

Turner has made too many gaffs in past few months. His shocking defending allowed Fletcher to nip in front of him and how many times does he simply pass the ball to an opponent? He didn't attack the ball which led to Arsenals' first goal.

Hudson isn't up top speed for this league and so either stick Medel with caulker or get in a fresh CB.

Most players we can agree on but certain ones there is a strong divergence.

Turner is out of form and has been for a while.

Cowie came on in the last two games and that is when things went haywire. I favour Gunnarson but he is also out of form.

Whittingham is really annoying me, he was supposed to set the premiership alight, Scored a great header in one game but reacted so slowly to three other great chances lately. not a hair out of place and not a sign of sweat and that is after the game.

The players who are good enough are: Medel, Caulker, Bellamy, John, Kim, Noone, Frazier and Marshall.

With baby Ben out on loan, Turner is the only leftie CB we have. He is limited in what he does but is solid. I quite like him, but he's not in the same class as Caulker. Even if only for cover we need another and it would put pressure on Ben to perform. We may see more acomplished performances from him if we had a stronger LB or a left wing with more defensive acumen. Belamy would make a difference to our attack and defense on the left.

I've been wondering in recent weeks if Hudson should be given a chance. He was outstanding last season. He may not be quick but he reads the game and knows how to throw his body on the line more than any other defender at the club. If anyone watched John Terry deal with Suarez over xmas it was easy to see that positional sense, reading the game and commitment will go a long way at CB. Hudson was very dodgy when he first arrived, he'd developed into the best CB in the division half way through last season. His leadership wouldn't go a miss in our current first 11 either.

I'm not a huge believer in the left/right side CB thing. If you've got the players that's fine, if not and both are right footed then pick the 2 best defenders you have imo.

I'm not sure Turner has done enough to be dropped though. Nin blamed him for Fletchers goal but once you allow quality to be delivered and there's a player as good as Fletcher waiting you are asking for trouble.

He told you that did he? If you think his dad didn't manipulate that decision you're naive at best.

Tbh how anyone knows who ole wants is seriously questionable. It looks a bit like we need wingers so were being linked to them.

This is the reason I still think that Steve Clarke would have been a better bet for you to secure your PL place in the 2nd half - but only time will tell.

Turning to transfers, January is a notoriously difficult window to get the right player and at the right price and if OGS is given the cash then he needs to integrate carefully else time will slip away before he ends up with a balanced team. It will be interesting to see how it goes - just hope for your sake he is allowed to plot his own course.
