http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...pton-accuse-referee-abusing-Adam-Lallana.html This time Clattenburg abused Lallana. Maybe he DID abuse Mikel after all?
The real issue is that Lallana was arguing with a referee. Football needs to take note from rugby. You accept decisions without acting like a child. EDIT: And yes, I know Suarez does it too.
That doesn't give the ref a right to abuse the player. You're only on Clattenbergs side because if you say anything against him you'd have to admit the possibility that he abused Mikel.
This guy again ... why would I have a problem with the Mikel allegations? If it can be proved, then Clattenberg has to answer for it. Anyway, fully agree on video refereeing - would solve a lot of issues and make results fairer. Referees are recorded now after the Mikel thing, so I assume this will all be solved internally pretty quickly.
I am surprised ref's havent knocked players out before now to be fair, i watched rugby and what the ref says is final. you have a guy 6ft 4" tall and 4 and a half foot wide, who is intimidating as hell and as soon as the ref speaks they fall in line....not like some of these over paid, pseudo celebrity brats playing football these days.
Once again a case of insufficient evidence - without the backup of audio technology it's pretty much a case of hearsay and as we discovered in the Mikel incident a pointless exercise; the only people who will be called up as reliable witnesses will be the referees assistants....no chance of them narking on their colleague.
