    £6m? Cant see Lawell parting with that when he wouldnt go the extra couple of hundred grand that could have won us the title back then? Could also have sold him for a profit, if we buy him now we'll never sell for more than we pay. if Spending that kind of money we need to go for Finboggason - could sell him for double if he impresses in the CL and bangs them in for fun in Scotland.

    They'll probably bid £1m...then drag it out for a month and finally offer £1.5m and then say we tried but couldnt get the deal done in time

    Its a non starter though. He is on 50k a week, no way he will drop 30k to play in the spl.

    Who knows!!

    A return to Scotland playing in CL with a reduced wage might be preferred over a move to Hull or whoever else is interested in him.

    At 26 he might want abit of stability rather than moving from club to club

    Claiming Celtic are willing to pay out £6m for any player pushes up the asking price of others.

    Fletcher is injury prone and only scores one in four.

    I can see us getting a decent striker in but if we buy or loan one will depend on if Samaras is going and how much a new midfielder will cost.

    We are short in midfield at the moment and if we don't move for Gauld now we wont ever get him! I think Lennon wants someone to come in and play now as we have one or two who are settling in or need settling in time and Mulgrew is never a midfielder!!

    I would rather see the money go elsewhere. The guy is injury prone and not IMO an out and out striker.
