The video showed that Borini was offside but by an amount that in no way could have been picked by the naked eye so he gave the benefit of the doubt to the visitors these are the things that go against you when you are struggling

Whether you're a Sunderland fan who thinks we will stop up, or a Sunderland fan who thinks we will be relegated it doesn't matter. We are all Sunderland fans.

It's all about opinions and I welcome viewpoints from all, so long as they are Sunderland fans and not stinking craas pretending to be Sunderland fans, in which case they can **** right off.

Rot set in 1985???? You having a larf! We've been awful to mediocre and under achieved since the early 50's when we were first relegated (excluding a season or 2)! I'm 34 years old and its a sad state of affairs when I say that this is probably the 3rd best side that we have fielded in my time as a supporter! We have had more good seasons after 1985 than before (excluding the '73 cup win obviously). Our recent run in the premier league has been a booming success by our standards!

We played Palace earlier in the season and, even at 0-0, their supporters sang their hearts out. This gave the team confidence - it is the entire opposite at Sunderland. We're almost all guilty of it but it's simply because of expectations.

If you think that, due to the Villa game, we're relegated and teams look forward to playing us - do you think that Everton think the same about us? or Man City? or Newcastle? - these are the teams we have beaten and, if not for a goal which was ruled out incorrectly for offside, we may have beaten Villa too - if that goal counts then we probably win that game as goals breed confidence (something the side is lacking). Isn;t that also one of the last 6 we've lost (5 in the league I think)? Truly awful form

No need to bury themselves, yet. It's still a long way to May and this season have no shortage of candidates for relegation. 8 points diff. between midtable and bottom. Not so wide gap.
