We've just lost 2-0 at Anfield to a Liverpool side who had lost two on the bounce, and some people are moaning about our performance.

    ****'s sake.

Errm maybe because our performance was poor? Just because Liverpool are a famous team doesn't mean we shouldn't feel down when the team don't perform at the level we know they can.

You really think it was "poor"? It's got nowt to do with Liverpool's "fame", and everything to do with context. Their side was assembled at a cost several times higher than ours, with internationals all over the place, they were at home and they'd just lost two games in a row. We lost 2-0 and for a couple of periods (the first 20 minutes and the last 20 minutes) we were the better side.

Sorry, but I just can't ascribe the word "poor" to that performance.

Nah the performance wasn't very good, we struggled and had no foothold in the game. It's more frustration due to the fact that we can play better than that. We beat a better team just a month a go. We stay 10th though which looks good to potential signings.

We beat a better team a month ago.

Yes, at home, under different circumstances.

I'm happy to have taken 3 points off them this season.

Dunno if I've missed it on another thread but does anyone know why Sagbo was taken off and replaced with Graham?

He'd done his usual running around and I reckon Bruce just wanted to shake it up a bit. You can't put three attackers on and not take one off!

Yeah, I'm a Secret Scouser. I mean, how else could I possibly have all this inside info on our opponents?

Another one, alongside Omega Man, who struggles with the definition of the word "plastic".

SB summed it up well, we were leggy after 3 games in a week, as were Liverpool, but like at the KC we need to be fresh and at our best to have a chance against these better teams.

Absolutely not. 2-0 away at a top-end side?

    Onwards and upwards.

It wasn't as good as we can play - but we were tired, and Liverpool are a good team.

I'm not at all worried about losing today, it was a tad disappointing at times, but i'm not getting all negative about it.
