My stream didn't work properly all first half so no vote from me.

I'll count up all the games from xmas together including the Boro game so it'll be about this time next week.

McGregor (several great saves kept it close)
Thudd (not at his best but everything went through him in MF)
    Elmo (another hard working display)

Their two goals came from set pieces. Otherwise they didn't create much but missed two good chances in first half.

Thought they were the only 3 to come away with their heads high. Thudd was bloody awful, we saw how good he really is on Saturday, he needs to perform like that more often. Squad can be excused today though given the tight period of fixtures and it being away at Anfield. Let's hope for an improved showing against the posh toffs.

Hate to say it, but I honestly can't pick anyone else.

Actually I forgot about Bruce, thought he did quite well. Can't decide if he pips Elmo to 3rd or not.

So we lost. So we created nowt. So they could have had at least 3 more. So they were understrength . So we made a desperate triple substitution. So we could still be playing now and still wouldn't have scored. I can still pick 3 and consider a few more.

    We were playing Liverpool. Away.

They are challenging for Champions league.

They were top of the Premiership a few days ago.

We beat them a month ago.

We are better than all but 10 teams in England.

Get real. Enjoy it. Hope it does but it may not last.

    CTID.

Did Fryatt have a good game? I fell asleep about 80 minutes.

Wasn't sure which of the three CH's to go for as third choice, as all three played well but also all made mistakes. Figueroa was very poor again, his distribution was dreadful. The rest did ok but all looked tired, no wonder with 3 games in 6 days. It was all very subdued but I thought the first 20-25 minutes we looked the better side and had we managed to stop them from scoring for longer it might not have turned out as comfortable for them as it did.

Also thought Fryatt looked sharp when he came on!

Funny how we all see things differently , I thought Davies and Chester were gash compared to their usual standards, thought the only thing Bruce did wrong was go within 5 yards of Suarez more than once. Was lucky not to get sent off or bitten. He was the pick of the centre halves for me.

I thought all three made some very important tackles and interceptions, which helped to keep the score respectable but as I said, they did all make mistakes too.

Got to agree Hat. Alex was the pick of the bunch. Never seen Davies and Chester slip over so many times in a game. Must have been the wet field. Also thought Chessie's distribution was poor.

McGregor 1, made some good saves, can't blame him for either goal in particular
Boyd 2, says a lot that one of our subs achieved more than most
Fryatt 3, says even more about the performance......

In all seriousness though, bad result, bad performance but not unexpected, the lads have played 2 intense games against Man U and Fulham, and came up against a very strong team away from home and we didn't disgrace ourselves by any means, only lost 2-0 and both goals coming from set plays. Our season is defined by the games against the teams outside of the top 6 in which we've done really well so far. Got away games against Man City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Everton and Spurs done now, can't criticise any of the lads for what we've accomplished so far this season, everyone's been playing well.
