Come on, come on. Stop feeling miserable, get some aspirin down your neck and get studying. Lots of opportunity today at:

Cheltenham, Musselburgh, Catterick, Fakenham, Southwell, Fairyhouse and Tramore. (Exeter abandoned - waterlogged track)

    Some tentative picks for Cheltenham:

12.10 Racing Pulse (any word from James on his chances Danbo??)
    12.45 Restless Harry
    1.20 Taquin De Seuil
    1.55 Whispering Gallery (NAP)
2.30 Cedre Bleu (Jacob will need to have his timing spot on)
    3.05 Annie Power
3.40 City Supreme --> usually a very good bumper this one

Best of luck everyone and HAPPY NEW YEAR <cracker>

Hendo's won with eight of his last ten runners and the other 2 were second so I'm giving Oscar Whiskey and the bumper runner a chance today.

Happy New Year all. I brought the new year in eating a terrible cheese board. Very disappointing but I suppose we've all had similar let downs.

No bet for me on these two because of the awful prices but both Oscar Whiskey and Zarkander to win today. Happy new year to everybody

Beware of anything running on the western side of the Irish Sea today... Miserable weather here today so horses will need snorkels to get around....

Happy New Year all. Today at Cheltenham I am very surprised to see any good in the going description. On the basis that this will alter significantly I like the chances of an old favourite of mine Our Island in the 12.45. This horse is an absolute plodder and really needs 5+ miles on bottomless. Today's 3m 2f trip will take some getting though and this one may just out plod them all.
At Tramore Federici 12.30 returns to the track quickly under a penalty to make hay before the handicapper clobbers him for a nice win at Limerick the other day. I expect him to win again.
Finally I reckon Taquin De Seuil, Cheltenham 1.20, will confirm form with Oscar Whisky. Really like TDS and although it was a messy race last time they met TDS is 5 lb better off today. Although OW won his last start he was again in receipt of weight (8lb) from his main rival.
    Good luck all.

    TAQUIN DU SEUIL 5/4 (NAP)

Soft ground and a longer trip will be the making of this horse and a problem for Oscar Whisky.

I can see Taquin going off favourite.

    Happy New Year! <cracker>

Hello all...... recovering from last night with a 4am finish!

Disappointing small fields at Cheltenham today and the Annie Power race is quite embarassing numbers wise!

Hoping to start the new year in style... Musselburgh 2.10pm Ultimate 9/1 e.w GP . Finished 4th in the race last year and has a lot less weight to carry and a claimer on board. He 's the one for me.. Get on board guys!!

Testing indeed. I thought the Ferguson horse, Whispering Gallery ran nicely in that last race. Travelled well for a long way before understandably tiring. Must be some culture shock for the poor bugger having competed in 400k races in Meydan not that long ago. One for the old notebook I reckon.

Anyone think that 4lb can make any sort of difference in the Annie Power v Zarkandar battle?

She even has the form on heavy going although as we know, course form can so often be invaluable at Cheltenham. Should be interesting I think- I just wish Willie would say where she is being aimed- is it the World or is it the Champion? I suspect the former.

I think in any other yard she would be Champion Hurdle bound but as usual WM is juggling everything around. Let them race, would be amazing!!

    Guessing she goes World Hurdle.

An easy 8 length beating of Zarakander over, presumably, his optimum trip is pretty impressive isn't it. All options open to her now.

Is this an omnious formline for The New One fans?

Would you think she could win a Champion Beefy vs HF?

Flemenstar is out for the season too, the change of yard brought no luck yet then!
