memories of the behaviour of QPR fans in our seating areas in that prom match hasn't helped for me... and then some derogatory comments about our OAP fans..... and what we supposedly think of QPR etc.... and a look at the poster's profile doesn't give much that is positive for me....

I ditto have no problem with good natured banter... and we had lots of that in the old 606 days...

Yes so do I. The likes of Filberto and the Norwich boys are, as far as i can see, very welcome regulars on here who engage in good natured discussion about our team and theirs. We also had some great debate with a lot of Hull fans during the run in last year. Recently there have been a few QPR fans who just want to take sly digs at us. There may be one or two Watford fans who do the same on other team boards and if they do then I don't agree with that either.

People are being very precious if they took anything I've posted as "insulting" but each to their own. Just some very light-hearted stuff about those who sit in The Rous along the lines of comments from Watford fans and no different to the sort of people you'd find in any main stand.

People are also being extremely precious about the promotion game, nearly three years ago. It was your own club's stubbornness to only give 2000 away tickets when the home ends were never going to be near full up that caused any problems. We play each other again towards the end of the season- if you need a win for promotion and we only give you half the away stand, would you not expect your fans to try and see the match by any means possible? Loads of teams have won promotion or won leagues against us in recent years (Newcastle, WBA, Man City, Wolves) and the games at Loftus Rd have always had a few away fans sneaking into home ends who have been well accommodated given the situation.

Not sure what anyone could dislike about my profile. It's virtually blank.

Plus it was a hot day and people had been drinking etc...

Of course that is in the past and unfortunately any match has the potential to be trouble albeit the vast majority behave themselves.

Last season the most trouble at the Vic was against Peterborough of all teams!

On this I agree with you - there are some right miserable old w@nkers in the UR, particularly Statler and Waldorf who sit behind me; they actually seem to prefer it when we struggle. On the other hand we have no one to compare in terms of onanism to your tosspot in the sombrero...

    Can I also say...
QPR will not be promoted this year, and next year they will be royally f*cked by FFP. How long until TF gets bored?

Good to hear also that quite a few QPR 'wanabee bushwackers' got a slapping outside the Escourt and Moons.

Tend to agree with you and NZ - am not really sure what was offensive about any of your posts.

Re the above comment on the away stand - we don't actually have an 'away' stand. The Vicarage Road End is shared equally by visiting supporters and our own Family Section - in fact, the capacity of the visiting supporter section currently exceeds the requirements of the FL rules by around 400. To allocate that whole end to the occasional group of visiting supporters wouldn't exactly endear the club to the couple of thousand season ticket holders who have paid for the right to sit there....

You're right, and I can understand why the club chose to do what it did, but with that they surely knew they were asking for problems? If the game was a big one for you too and there wasn't room to accommodate everyone then I'd have said fair enough, but giving a team half an hour away 2000 tickets when they could have sold thousands more given the occasion while also having vast swathes of the home ends empty was silly when the Vicarage Rd ST holders could have been moved for one game. Not to mention however much revenue was lost at a time when Watford really needed it.

Unless the South Oxhey crack addicts were roused for the afternoon I struggle to believe your Green Street wannabes would be capable of 'doing' our Green Street wannabes.

I heard there was a bit of trouble in the town centre before the game and a lot of QPR yoof hanging around outside The Red Lion just before kick off, but being coralled by the OB.
But it must be one of the most ironic or ironies for a QPR fan to moan about our ticket allocation - we only ever get the absolute minimum of tickets at Steptoe's Yard and the seats are probably the worst in the Championship.

I wasn't moaning about the allocation- my gripe is with Watford fans who paint QPR fans who went in the home end for that game as hooligans for wanting to see their team get promoted when the away allocation was unnecessarily low.

We are obliged to give any team that requests both tiers i.e. 3,200 the whole stand as the upper tier isn't quite big enough to meet the minimum requirement. You've normally had both tiers, and if you haven't that has been because Watford weren't confident of selling the tickets, so not sure what you're talking about.

    1) Not precious... just pees me off that people can take tickets not meant for them and then have digs about our club and fans
    2) I have nothing particularly against, or for QPR
    3) and yes nothing to like about your profile

I have no idea how many away fans managed to get a ticket for the home stands, probably not that many. The game was sold out though for genuine home fans, so I really cannot see how you think that the club should have allocated you more seats. You had more than you were actually entitled to in the first place. Just why were they so quiet though? Several people on different sites rated them the quietest seen at the Vic this season. I watched the game, but listened to the commentary and you get a pretty good idea about the support for both teams. Hardly a peep came from your lot.

Wasn't referring to yesterday's game. Atmosphere was poor from our lot, no idea why. Some away matches have had a great atmosphere but it's been subdued recently. I was much nearer the Rookery than the Vicarage Rd and can't say I was impressed by the noise from either end.

First of all, this wasn't a big game for us as dont care about QPR, whereas you seem to think that the Watford match is a season highlight.

Secondly, the VR end season ticket holders cannot be moved as the seats they would occupy have to be offered for 'on the day' purchase as required by FL regulations. So if we relocate them, we would breach those regulations.

Based on previous experience, there is no painting of QPR fans as hooligans, they were the ones starting on our younger fans and causing trouble.

The away allocation isnt unnecessarily low at all. As stated before, we give 400 more than is required by the regulations. We give the same amount to all the clubs who visit in the league, but rarely see the hassle we see when you turn up. Even the Leeds fans moan less than you and thats saying something! You get reasonable seats behind the goal and with a completely unobstructed view, whereas is we move our ST holders we would have to put them is seats which were of lower quality than the ones they currently have.

Dan, think you've got the wrong end of the stick. Was discussing the game a few years ago.

My old man was born in qpr country , there was a final in the 60s where they carried a coffin to wembley with a flag over it of the other team , at least they've stopped doing that !
I remember we got promoted at Fulham a while back , what a day and I also remember a lot of our fans on the pitch and swinging from the cross bar , nicking bits of turf , and yes Fulham dished a few slaps out after visa versa , Fulham fans never held that against us either ,
It is what it is when you want to see your team get promoted away from home , just pray it's not at Pompey or Millwall
