The Mirror, who have had a decent record on our transfers, have now named Nick Powell. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/manchester-united-plan-nick-powell-2971438 No proof like. But he would be a decent player for us if he came.
The fact that they mention the possibility of Graham on a permanent doesn't add much credibility to the story though does it?
How? It is suggesting that we would have to free up a loan spot, and saying a perm deal for one of our two loan players doesn't give the article less credibility at all. It does say Livermore OR Graham, it's a simple assumption for a media outlet to make.
I think out whole transfer strategy will hinge on whether we sign or keep Livermore, Aluko and Graham.
Well after the Everton game Heitinga let us all know while signing stuff for the kids that he was leaving in January, so some players will clearly give away more than they're meant to.
I might be wrong but with Aluko's injury record I can't see another club offering more money than we already have. And it's quite a step to sign a player who won't be fit to play right away.
Anything that means we sign Livermore permanently and don't have to worry about him potentially going back to Spurs is good with me.
Yeah, I mentioned this in the Summer transfer thread. Would be a good signing I think, but we should prioritise a striker.
Nick Powell is an attacking midfielder. Who can also play as a forward. http://www.manutd.com/en/Players-And-Staff/First-Team/Nick-Powell.aspx I'm pretty sure that^ is the best source.
