Since 2005/06 the team top at the end of the year has been promoted automatically. Lets hope we keep up the good work in 2014. Certainly to soon to be over excited and my natural 'optimism' means we could break that record. Fingers crossed though. UTF. Happy New Year

We love breaking records like this, lets hope we don't do it though I'd still be happy with 2nd at this point as no doubt there will be a few clubs coming up fast towards the end of the season to dominate the playoffs (read Reading, Blackpool in recent times, M'borough had a strong finish to 2013). 4 points in the next 2 games would be a great start to 2014. Feet firmly on the floor until mid-April at least.
