****ing ****e from us. Chelsea won every single 50-50. We just looked uninterested. Half the season gone and we're 5th where we deserve to be, outside the CL spots. We need to buck up, we have no ability to get back into games and claw victory from jaws of defeat. 2 points ahead of spurs and United (both of which are having 'calamitous' seasons) is unacceptable. The decision to bring smith on was amateur. Johnson ****. Agger having to fill in at LB because cissokho is a dud and Suarez goes missing again, which is unacceptable for a player of his standard. Sakho looks lost too, I hope his injury isn't bad but at least it forces BR to ****ing drop him. Hull in a few days. We need a big result. Come on
Agree with what you say about Eto should have been off if the rules had been applied. Suarez should have had a pen. Are chelski now the establishment club. In the thirties it was Arsenal apparently, the after the war MU for six decades. Seems to me that Chelsea are now the chosen ones.
We're 6 points off top spot, 1 off 4th place. We have all our rivals, Arsenal, City, Chelsea, Everton, Spurs all to come to Anfield in the 2nd half of the season. Things could be a lot worse
This, I repeat, the league position doesn't matter, in this league, at this point. Points haul are close among all top 7. What does matters is that we do what we did first half of the season (and improve on it by those couple of games) and get all the points available in games we should win. Do that and we''ll still be up there. Then the home games against the big teams will decide if we're in top 4. Good stuff.
What the **** is Maureen on! He's claiming he didn't see the Eto'o tackle, that Hazard didn't just fall over in the area and that Suarez Dived
Agree with you two. Not to mention we played our toughest set of fixtures with a few injuries to key players and a very thin squad. I'm grateful that we are still in the mix.
Mourinho's comments on the red card, Hazard's penalty appeal and Suarez's penalty appeal are a complete joke. I know he says things to cause controversy and deflect from his players but if he seriously believes those comments he needs his head tested
Who actually takes the clown seriously. He's took a 200 million pound squad and turned them into Stoke of 3 years ago.
My ratings:- Mingolet: 6 Two good saves, one crap effort that allowed a goal. Becoming every game now. Johnson: 5 Not been the same player since he came back from injury this season, gives the ball away tamely too many times in attack. Skrtel: 5 At least he didn't try and wrestle everyone today. Two great tackles, completely lost Eto'o for the goal. Sakho: 6 Won every one of his aerial balls. Dived in and missed on two occasions on the ground. Agger: 5 Hosed in the first half, better in the second, but he's obviously no left back. No fan of Cissokho, but thought he was okay against City. Is he injured? Henderson: 5 Couple of nice touches, but kicked out of the game. Lucas: 5 Many interceptions, many elephantine first touches that went to the opposition. Allen: 5 Again, heavy first touch in fast-moving games is holding him back. Coutinho; 5 Faded again from the game. Suarez: 5 Denied two penalties and kicked from pillar-to-post. hard to judge him. Sterling 7; Up for it and worked his bollocks off. Took the same , Webb-sanctioned kicking that Luis did, but still got up and went for it again and again. Rodgers 5: Agger at left back? Smith? Hmmm.
Rodger's learning quickly. Saying Webb had an excellent game, he didn't give the pen and you have to move on. Only if you're United manager can you bad mouth a ref and then get favourable decisions the next week, everyone else seems to have to praise them to get that and any negative response against them is punished by a poorer performance the following week.
Harsh on Mig, not saying that he wasn't at fault for the winners in both the city and today's game but to say it's every game now is a bit ridiculous. Thought Allen played better than what you're giving him credit for. Thought Coutinho was our best player, don't know why people are bad mounting him tbh. Would swap Coutinho and sterlings score over.
is a load of bollocks that it works like that though, why don't they have to justify disgraceful decisions, the fa like to punish players and managers quick enough yet incompetence gets rewarded, no wonder they ****ing smirk, ****s.
Haha, I caught that too. His tongue was so far in cheek with that comment it was practically coming through the other side. I suppose the FA would really hammer him if he had a moan about ****ty officiating in back to back games.
Agree with this. We mustn't get demoralised, we're still in a great position with most of our most difficult games over. However, I'm thoroughly ****ed off about this. I know there's a lot of argy bargy goes on in football and we're just as guilty as anyone, but when two or three blatant, unarguable decisions go against you in crucial games, you have reason to feel aggrieved. Eto'o could quite easily have been off for his tackle on Hendo, and to see him go on to score, and then for that penalty not to be given, is just so ****ing frustrating. Officials have now cost us valuable points against City and Chelsea, and although I've defended them in the past for having a difficult job, I find it hard when to keep doing so when they make such shockingly bad decisions. When BR has to go before the FA to explain his comments, it really sticks to see officials get away with appalling decisions which can clearly have a huge effect on a club's season.
