The amount of games with such a small squad showed today. Leggy performances. Still up there and can the table can change so quickly. A strong January is important to see CL qualification secured.
And we were ****e too. Allen went off and Brad Smith came on (why a LB for a CM?) and we lost any "control" of the game that we had and hardly mustered a chance since. Second time in 4 days that we've lost a lead and went on to lose. Not good enough.
I hope Rodgers comes and and says he's learnt his lesson about criticising refs, as if you do, they all become bent ****s. Then again, Webb has always had a passion for ****ing us over.
Poor end due to appalling officials, but overall a good half a season. Hopefully continue our improvement for the second half of the season.
They were better than us but we should have escaped with a point if the ref had done the right thing. Chelsea are dirty, hard working and have skill in the right areas they battered us physically and stopped us playing.
BR made a massive error bringing Smith on. Not because he isn't good enough, I'm sure he'll be a good player but he's not a winger and he looked so nervous today. His first touch was all over the place. Would have been much better bringing on Alberto or Aspas and playing them in the same position. It probably didn't lose us any points but certainly wasn't helpful in helping us get back into it.
Such a frustrating game. On the whole we didn't deserve to win as they were better but at the end of the day: - Mignolet shouldn't be letting the goal in - We should have had at least one penalty - Webb's got to think with the Eto'o one would he give it as a foul anywhere else on the pitch and yes he would, so why not a pen? - Why bring on Brad Smith - all up for letting kids have a chance but over Alberto and Aspas? Oversight on Brendan's part - Sakho looks like he's pulled his hamstring - I know we have cover but he's been playing well
Not normally the type to get angry by a football match but everything about this one infuriated me: - Mourinho's pre match comments regarding how our squad is much fitter without Europe despite the fact Chelsea have 2 entire squads to piss about with because of Roman's oil (Yes I know it was mind games but it got to me). - Eto'o not even being booked in the first minute (deservedly a red, he didn't even look to play the ball it was nowhere near). - Joe Allen, despite really coming into a great bit of form recently, is injured AGAIN. What is the point of a player who can't last longer than 5-6 games in a row? - Coutinho's over-arrogance coming to the forefront. How many times over the last month has he took on a player then blasted a low shot into a defender rather than using a wiser option? Still young but it irritates me a lot. - Jose resorting to theatrics in gee-ing up the fans (who are still unable to sing anything other than CHELSEA CHELSEA CHELSEA). - Yet another Suarez penalty not given - Terrible refereeing throughout Fuming. I need to go and get pissed.
Aside from getting us a point at least, correct decisions by Coward Webb would have limited Chelsea's options in their coming games e.g. Eto'o suspended for 3 games, which would also help us in the fight for CL
Some of the ugliest football you'll ever see. I don't know how those plastic kunts at the bridge pay to watch this ****. That was ****ing wrestling more than football. Absolutely disappointed with BR's tactics today, what the **** was he thinking of giving a debut for a youngter in such a big clash. Was he having a ****ing brainfreeze. Alberto has been good everytime he's come on, or should have atleast brough Aspas ealry. Utterly disappointing to come away with nothing, im sure even if was 1-1, Mourinho would have still parked the bus, he's the antithesis to football.
Not a lot between them IMO. Many games are drawn or won by a side, which is not the better team. Suarez should have had a penalty. Scandalous decision by Webb. Long time sine I have seen such a bunch of diving simulating exaggerating players as chelski today.
Refs didn't cost us wins but they cost us goals. And at the top you only get so many chances a match. Anyway, despite mixed performance s these results were always a distinct possibility. We've done very well first half. Current league position is misleading, just as being top was. Fact is, the league is close and this swapping will continue. It's clear what the squad needs it's just if we can find those players available. Looking forward to second half.
Sahko and Allen both injured with both Suarez and Henderson limping throughout the match. Good day at the office.
