Never said they do mirror the first half. Despite playing the same nineteen teams, I believe the fixtures in the first half were harder than the fixtures in the second half based on the home and away aspects. Out of the top seven, Liverpool will have been to Arsenal, Man City, Chelsea, Everton and Tottenham with only Man Utd left to visit. With all due respect to the rest of the league, whether the game is at Anfield or not, we should be aiming to beat them if we have top four aspirations. We have a good record at home and not one of those five listed will be looking forward to coming to Anfield.
That's one way to look at it, if football was a computer game. City should be hammering teams home and away but they've lost a few (although they will end up winning the league comfortably). Liverpool probably expected to beat Hull away and Southampton at home but they didn't.
So, on your advice, we should review the remaining fixtures and how they favour Liverpool and their title/top 4 chances, games which you think Liverpool should be winning, but you don't think the fixtures necessarily favour Liverpool. So City for the League then?
Don't try and twist what I said or attempt to put words in my mouth. I'm capable of talking for myself, shame you are able to reciprocate when it comes to reading. And just in case you missed it, I was talking about Liverpool's run-in. I never mentioned Man Utd's because I haven't got a clue what your run-in is like. Although, considering the moaning Moyes did prior to the season starting, I'd imagine its easier too? We seem two have two that can' read Our second half of the season is easier than the first IN MY OPINION. However, unlike some people, I'm not arrogant enough to think we have a devine right to win them all but I do think that any team with aspirations of getting top four should be aiming to beat any side outside the top top seven whether it be at home or away. With us having to only visit one of the other six with the remaining five coming to Anfield, it looks promising for Liverpool considering how the first half as gone.
Gerrez - I didn't mention Manchester United's fixtures, the only team other than Liverpool that I referenced was City.
Not scared at all. I fully expected utd to finish 3rd this season. If you do and liverpool finish 4th I wont be upset. I and most liverpool fans never thought we would win the league this season, we tend to do better in the second half of the season too so even more reason to belive we will be in the top 4 come the end.
Yep, Europe fears the Norwich beaters, never mind Liverpool Hopefully you can get jammy goals and OGs from now till the end of the season, then you'll be title contenders. I notice a distinct lack of penalties for United this season, surely nothing to do with Fergie retiring
Didn't Liverpool have the same amount of penalties as United last season while still complaining about not getting any? And, correct me if I'm wrong, but haven't United had the same amount as Liverpool again so far this season? For the record, I believe Chelsea had almost as many penalties last season as United and Liverpool combined, just saying
