Either that or they make enough from the car wheel sales that they have outside the ground from the wheels donated by their supporters.

If they have a prolonged Europa League campaign then at least that gives the locals enough time to generate extra cash by robbing the players houses during the away games.

Is that why it's imperative for Liverpool to be in Europe every season?

<laugh> I'm sure it wasn't like that. In all seriousness we had money left over from when we sold Mascherano, we only spent £2m and I'd imagine Fenway Sports Group invested a load of money when they first took us over (or january) before the new UEFA FFP Rules kicked in

Our owners are big fans of the FFP rules so we're making the most of having some money as we know that in future its down to our profits (although we signed a record sponsership deal last year and a record kit supplier deal for next year)

Yes they've been claiming the Queen Mum's benefits since she died in '02 (ish)

Isn't Aquilani coming back too? He'll be on mega wages as his was a pretty high profile move iirc?

We're with Adidas for this season coming then Warrior Sports take over. they are a subsidory of New Balance based in Boston and are paying £25m a year for the privilege

EDIT - Aquilani is coming back but he wants to stay in Italy but no-one is prepared to match out £12m price tag (AC Milan and Juve were sniffing, Juve offered £8m but we refused)

I wouldn't mind him back as he's pretty decent but his wages are pretty big and we now have Meireles who works better with Lucas (who is irreplaceable at the moment)

    I love your sig!

Is Lucas any good, because with Lucas, Meireles, GErrard, Henderson and potentially Adam, you have got a very packed central midfield

I REALLY REALLY REALLY want to see Dalglish fall on his arse at liverpool. Dont like liverpool at the best of times, specially dont like them with Carroll in the team and even less if they get jose.

I dont think they're all that and are paid way over the odds for average henderson - the mackems must be loving that bit of business.

Above all else i see their king kenny flags and am reminded of his destruction of the entertainers. Hope he fails miserably. Scottish tw@

Lucas is hugely under rated by other teams fans. He joined us as an attacking midfielder in the same vein as Gerrard but had to change position to accomodate Rafa's tactics which took some time (he got a lot of undeserved stick for it) but he didn't moan about being played out of position, worked hard and has now made the position his own.

He was voted LFC fans player of the year last season (smashing Kuyt who got a hat trick against utd) and has been picked for the Brazilian copa america squad. Their manager was quoted as saying that Lucas is a future Brazil captain. If he carries on at this rate I firmly believe he will be our captain once Stevie G retires and may go down as Rafa's greatest purchase

Appointing Ken Dodd as the financial director probably helped.
