Seriously though, if you must sit in the upper or lower Rous, keep schtum. I'm quite a reasonable chap, but I had to be restrained when the UR was infected by hoops for the promotion game.
Oh yes Seriously though it is about time we trounced them and then they can all pretend to be what they are not... grr...
I don't actually care too much where people sit as long as they behave as there used to be some very funny people on the old terraces when we were allowed to mix. What I do find wrong though is fans getting hold of tickets in the home area now that we have limited capacity, preventing people who are genuine Watford fans getting a seat. Some people for a variety of reasons do not have the chance to get to every game, but when they do have the possibility of seeing a game they find that someone who is not a fan of the Horns is preventing it.
yes in the old days mixed terraces were great... but what you get and we got with qpr is that they sit smugly in our stands knowing they shouldn't be there and there are enough of them to avoid getting evicted and make lots of noise and scarf waving.... to wind up the home fans...
What annoys me is my mate from the boarders is down to stay for New Years and he and his son can't get a ticket to support Watford yet QPR supporters are getting tickets in the Rous Stand. Surely the club needs to do something about this.
There will be lot less today as we have a lot less available seats this season. But anyone giving up their seat to a Steptoe or buying a ticket for one is taking a real risk - any bother and they could be in trouble. I don't expect a repeat of when they secured promotion.
The trouble with this is that it is Watford fans getting hold of tickets and passing them on. I have seen that a few season ticket holders have informed the club that they cannot be at the game, so it might be worthwhile phoning the ticket office to see if they have any returns.
i now cant make it so im just about to email the ticket office to release my season ticket. Its for the back of the rookery.
I bet the most relieved people were the police - least they had no trouble with fans celebrating goals!
Are you saying that the amazing and expensively assembled QPR side failed to excite you? It seems that only the lack of a fit striker prevented them from romping home, and the desire of Harry to get more cash out of the owner in January that could have had him put out a poor side. Just views from your match thread.
I don't think you'll find many of our fans describing our team as amazing at all. We've been able to grind out a lot of narrow wins due to a superb defence but have very rarely played to the potential of the players on the pitch. I think if we'd had Austin on the pitch we might have been winning at half-time as there were a few dangerous balls into your box and he's had to get used to feeding off fairly meagre scraps. Likewise, if your midfielder whose name I've just forgotten was playing you might have had the edge there though Barton seemed comfortable. Overall a drab draw was very fair. If I had to pick one team that deserved it ever so slightly more I'd have probably gone for us but neither team looked like scoring if we were still playing now. Not read our match thread but I'm sure there's the usual smattering of biased and borderline retarded views you'll find amongst any set of fans including your own in the Rous.
Agreed.. .so you have finally revealed your "nasty" self .... go away and get back to your own .... we never asked you to come over here... matey, matey.... and expect to just sit in amongst us .... and then insult us when we say we don't want you here.... so go and live your life elsewhere....
Could someone explain what he has said that is so offensive? I hope this board isn't becoming like some other Watford boards I have seen. We've usually got on well with opposing fans apart from the occasional wum.
