It just seems a funny way to thank him that's all, it's not his fault that he is not good enough for the Premier League, if anything it is the manager's fault for not replacing him.

But that's the thing that splits opinion on Wanyama thus far, IMO.

Jack Cork runs around like a madman. He's always hassling some guy or running across the pitch to try and make a slide tackle. It looks like he's doing something (and I mean, tbf he is doing something. He's a good player, just a different style). Wanyama job is more to sit there and after players get a taste of him, they stay far away.

So at the end of the game you tend not to remember Wanyama, you just know the opposition didn't score and never threatened. The reason for that could be that the other team was avoiding Wanyama. Or it could be they were simply crap, or it could be Dejan Lovren (or any of the back four). Everyone agrees our defense is very good when healthy. Not everyone agrees Wanyama is a major reason why. I do. But tbf, he's only been here a short time and we have a new manager with a unique defensive system, and we added Lovren as well. Plus Shaw, Clyne, and Cork are quality players as well so hard to pinpoint exactly what's making us tick. And if you downgrade his defensive contributions, you're left with a guy who doesn't run around much, isn't a great dribbler, and makes some awful passes.

I have no problems with Hooiveld or Fox. We've outgrown both of them, but they were important in our promotion push and so as far as I'm concerned they did what they were brought here to do.

Wouldn't argue too much with that. Don't know much about cork so can't comment, as to Jos and Fox I agree they served a purpose for us as well, but once we went into Europe, Jos sat on the bench.

Actually I think it does. Fine to complain but the vitriol heaped onto Danny and Jos is unnecessary, disrespectful and disregards their previous achievements. Hence the few level headed comments saying "hang on....". Put it another way when Rickie eventually loses his place, misses a golden opportunity or fails to score for x matches will we all be calling him ****, a liability and making jokes about him?

You're only as good as your last game, and if we let emotion rule us and do not criticise players then they'll be no progression surely? Fine to appreciate their past efforts, but we've moved on and sadly are above their level of ability.

Haven't heard of Jack Cork so can't comment, but Talk Sport and SSN have praised Vic a few times.

Who is the guy who plays beside him?

Morgan Schneiderlin, who is top class to be fair. Was our player of the season last year by a long way.

Football fans are like that tho. Some of our great heroes including Billy McNeill, the first Brit even non Latin player ever to lift the European Cup got fierce criticism at the end of their career.

Mind you Jos and Fox are no and never have been a Billy McNeill.

Samaras gets it big time up here, yet he is one of our best players in European games. He doesn't burst himself but he can be effective.

They all go downhill. If they have served a club then the fans should remember the good times......

While booting their arse down the road lol.

Cringing when I read that. Just imagining it is enough, let alone viewing it.

Btw can't be posted till after the threshold if it's what I imagine it would be lol.

French...from Alsace, hence the Germanic name.

The history of that area is incredible down the centuries. Grand father French, father German, kids French and so on.

I have no idea - this should do:

And here's the disallowed goal celebration - for what it's worth, it should never have been disallowed.

A few people called him (and some still do!) Spiderman at first rather than having to spell it. And he's French (from Alsace, hence the name) - not sure how he's not even been called up yet.

His goal against Barca last season nearly took the roof off Celtic park.
