I also think that the technique of substituting him at odd times or not starting him is part of the reason for his improvement. Clearly there has to be a very good reason for him so often not to be playing a full match. Either that or MP is an idiot who can't tell that Adam's the best player on the pitch (that's the explanation of the fans behind me in the Northam, anyway). So, the only explanation I can give is that there's something in Adam's makeup that means a full game is a risk. Putting two and two together and getting five, I think someone's looked and noticed that his recurrent groin strain happens when he plays too many minutes. Lots of speculation in that lot but the end result is that this seems to me to be the longest period Adam's played without injury. It means he's kept match fitness (which used to take him about two months to get back after a strain) and he's been firing on all cylinders all season. And he's the player I would fear moving less than anyone. Every single statement I've ever heard from him suggests that he sees his future here and nowhere else. Vin
"Hi darling, I know we've just had a kid and got married, are deliriously happy and I'm very fulfilled living and working here, but we're moving to Manchester tomorrow". Nah.
Why is this not in the transfer thread? It's not like loads of info has been pouring out for ages making it more reliable. It's only in The Star with hardly no info at all.

The last sentance on the cover is cut off, but it reads "Persuading Southampton to sell and attacking midfielder...". I don't know how that can end to make sense. Is it even a real newspaper?
