I think the reality is a cross between both. They do have a recall option, but he's here for the season. Saw an interview with Laudrup recently saying they could recall him but couldn't promise him first team football which is what he's got with us, so doing so would be bad for all parties. I'll see if I can find it.
Ki, Ba and Bridcutt would be my 3 signings this window and maybe one loan freed up from Ki. I'd seriously fancy with those 3 we can finish closer to 10th than bottom 3 in the next 5 months.
I believe we could sign Ki if we really wanted to, and it's only common sense that we would want to. He's playing well for us but not so amazingly well that the rest of the league will be paying full attention so I reckon we'd be in with a strong shout. As has already been pointed out it appears that Swansea don't want him (for some reason) and he's a good fit for us so why not.
Those wouldn't solve our issue of creating chances though. I really hope we bring in some players to play behind the striker
Cardiff fan in peace. There's a chance laudrup will leave in the summer, if that happens the new man might rate Ki. There's been talk on their board that he shouldn't be out on loan as he's better than players they've kept in the squad. Best chance is now, whilst he's not wanted in Swansea and happy with you guys.
I have this (possibly irrational and paranoid) fear that while Swansea are losing games and being drawn into a relegation battle and while Ki is scoring and playing well, they'll decide to recall him in Jan. Probably the 31st.
Demba Ba? As much as we need a goal scorer he is a mercenary and on stupid money at Chelsea which we couldn't dream of matching. Plus we have 2 PL loan signings in Ki and Borini so can't play another one can we (or have the rules changed again) Bridcutt is a good shout IMO. Risky but he's decent from what I've seen of him I don't think they can. The recall clause normally has to leave at least 2 or 3 days for the loan club to replace the loaned party once recalled
If a bigger club came in for him. Was a bit worried when Spurs needed a manager. Most of the Swans expect him to leave either this summer or next. Seen it on their forum. Not dug enough to find out why they think that though.
Ki was another outstanding performer as he successfully completed all 57 of his passes for a 100 per cent accuracy rate, and contributed the game’s key moment having been brought down by Howard for the penalty. 100% accuracy.
Don't you know Com? No matter how well he plays or how good his stats are, he's ****e, according to Nofusswithpuss.
If he stays the full season and we manage to stay up I reckon there's no way he won't end up a Sunderland player
Our new philosophy is imposible without him. We've had some cracking loan signings over the years but this one is the bees knees.
Just think it's funny how I'm not seeing any of those who wrote him off and said he was sh** before he had even played for us anymore!
There's only No Fuss that I can remember. He shouted it from the roof tops that he was ****e yet hasn't commented on the thread suprise suprise.
