It's officially a bank holiday, but the banks don't shut and you don't get a day off work I was checking yesterday, because I get paid the 2nd last working day each month. If could mean the difference between payday Friday and Monday for me

I can remember when we were in school and Martin McGuinness was promoted to Education Minister, all the Protestant Schools in Belfast staged walk outs in protest about an IRA man running the show, despite the fact that our school was all catholic kids with mostly Republican views in a stauncy Republican area of north Belfast we did a walk out, just to get the day off school
