All the country seems to be hung up on the Christmas Number One. Well, here he is waiting to be shot at! And first to lock n load is Brough, attempting to regain his crown.

As usual, challengers are the "C"'s, who get to select first. The target race race is the Welsh National from Chepstow.

The thread is up early due to my christmas absences. I won't have a reliable internet connection until Sunday, but may be able to pop in occasionally to see how things are.

Hi Badger - as a consequence of Stick's removal you HAVE moved up a place, but also as a consequence, into a defender slot.

Hope you all have a good Boxing Day's racing - I am so envious, but family is family, right?

Oddy: Teaforthree won't be winning, so forget that one <ok>

I've got mine picked but, as it's unlikely to win, hopefully Jamba will pick it and I'll be forced to pick something with a chance. Wait, I can do that myself. I'll go for my second choice. Ha ha. ....................But what if Jamba picks that one? ****, I've written off my first choice so I'll have to go for my 3rd choice. Right, sorted. Unless.............

    What are you picking Jamba?

I think I have no opponent now Bobs gone but if Havinacow wants a friendly fixture I will go for Goonyella ew.

No worries about pulling out Bob, completely understand what you are saying.

good luck on the races you do have a go at today <ok>

I notice another couple of people have pulled out.
whilst I am still happy to take part I think the problem with the format is that there is very little movement each week.
If a "match format" is to work then maybe along the lines of football where everyone plays each other once over the course of a season?
could be complicated to organise though. anyway just a thought.
