No they're not. It's a mess over there. They need a new manager, the sooner the better.

The main issue is the disagreement between owner and manager. Can't sack the owner or sell the club right? So manager has to go.

I think MM was the right man for them.
Just look at what has happened down the road... 4 managers in a couple of years and their league position has worsened.
At the top of the longevity tree we have the likes of Wenger and, dare I say it Pards and look at their league positions.
    Allardyce will go next.

For me, the three for the drop look like :

    - Mackems
    - Cardiff
    - Palace

They spent ~£25m in the summer - the Premier League's 3rd highest - play a pretty dull, insipid style of football and are the only team along with Sunderland yet to have won a game by more than one goal. I don't think this is the disgraceful decision that everyone's making it out to be.

I think the thing that is drawing so much attention to this particular situation isn't so much the outcome as the road that was traveled to get there.

    In a nutshell mate.
For their dirty linen to be aired in public like that was bad.

It seems harsh to me after how far they have come under him. Many have tried and failed at Cardiff. Its all very well saying they spent big, they did, but those players still need time to adapt to new surroundings and gel. He bought good players and injected some quality into the spine in Caulker, Medel. I think it has little to do with performance.

Unfortunately this is the danger with these type of owners, the guy is a nutcase. Once you start changing club colours and so on you know what you have. Without his money though, they wouldn't be where they are now. He can do as he pleases as with our owner. He looks likely to fall into the same trap as many of these instant success owners. They churn and churn never realising it rarely ever works out. Mackay can be proud of the job he has done and he will be snapped up quickly as people who know football realise the job he has done.

Bottom line is there was a personality clash, there is only one winner and it was always coming.

It's all getting very silly not just in the Premier League, managers are being sacked after less than 6 months up and down the leagues, the owners are getting trigger happy, in this case this was more about the owners ego than the performance of the manager. Chelsea have operated this way and been successful, the difference being Abramovitch's financial muscle and the policy of buying up world class players. As for Pardew, love him, hate him, don't care, it will be interesting to see if last season was the blip and that stability may just bring long term development, for all his detractors we will see over the next 4 months, Wenger has been written off but his team are up in the top 4 again, Everton are not brilliant becasue of Martinez but are continuing a path set by 10 years of stable management.

Good timing for us tomorrow though. You keep beating teams like Palace, Villa, WHU, etc you could make the champions league, we could stop up and win the league cup, we would both be happy then !.

Sunderland might stay up, can't see the rest happening sadly. Think it does help Sunderland tomorrow, shocking time to sack a manager.

On a side note, I do have to say how well tempered Bellamy has been during all of this. I understand that we was offered the role of player-manager at one stage but declined.

Malky Mackay is sacked as Cardiff City manager 11 days after owner Vincent Tan told him to resign or be dismissed.

Would have been great for Mackay to resign and save Tan severance pay.
