As the last 15 minutes of yesterday's game proved we have no back up strikers with Wood injured and Schlupp not even on the bench, having Gtf and Waghorn on the pitch is to be honest not very good, they would not score if they were still playing now!

Why not give King a run as a striker for a couple of games? He is in my opinion one of the best finishers at the club, the midfield of James and Drinkwater looks solid so unless there is an injury to either I can't see king getting a game in midfield, we all know King can score when given opportunities so got to be worth a go? (I'd rather see Barry Hayles than Waghorn/Gtf up front)

Think your a bit unfair to GTF and waghorn.. its difficult to come on for 20mins , here and there and make a major impact.. andy king would be lost playing an out and out striker..I think he would say that himself <ok>

Could do a job supporting a striker.

But I don't think I could ever see him as a 'number 9'.

He scores as he arrives late untracked.

Waghorn has proven himself at Millwall so far this season, if we'd signed a player who had put in those performances we'd be supporting them. So, unless he went on loan to be put in the shop window, which is more than likely, then I think we should give him a chance. Schlupp hasn't done anything to convince me that he should be plyaing up front, whereas in a wide position he's quite promising. King I think should maybe try his hand as a more attacking force, I remember him doing so for Wales. We've suddenly got huge strength-in-depth in the middle of the park.

Nugent and Vardy as a partnership have been superb and I wouldn't change them at the minute. King would lack the pace for our style of play to be used as a striker.

I'd rather see king upfront for 20 minutes than Gtf or Waghorn, at least he can score goals!

GTF has done well for us when he has come on. Very hard for him to come on mid season and be thrown on purely to close games out and be expected to make an impact.

Dean Hammond is another one who is thrown on to close games out. He has been superb for us but hasn't really stood out once.

We all know how good Waggy can be but we know how bad he can be. Waggy needs to start every week to get the best out if him. We can't afford for that to happen. Like Vardy at times he runs around like a headless chicken but I can never fault him for his attitude, effort or commitment

I think he will stay here now until the end if the season and will probably get a new deal if we don't go up. If we do go up I think he will leave with everyone's best wishes

That's exactly what I was getting at (see also, to a lesser extent, Harry Kane).
