I remember posting on this recently. I cannot imagine BM advocating hoofball, so for me, the blame must lie with the players. And I believe that Kenny is responsible for at least 50% of the hoofs (or is it hooves?). Rarely passes to anyone in defence & never throws it out. Hoof, hoof, hoof! It also makes we wonder if Warnock was truly a 100% hoofball advocate, or if it was the players to blame.
Was I watching a different game to you lot? Many times during the match I was very impressed with the way we kept the ball and played it about. Both teams started to go long. One thing I did notice was that when Blackpool went forward, they were able to keep the ball and move it around at first, while we were very quick to get rid of it, often with no end-product. But by the second half we had forced them into rushing. Was an interesting game, albeit not full of goal mouth action. I was ina a pub in Harrogate that had the Liverpool game on aswell, and the place was full of Liverpool fans! Couldn't believe they did not have their mani screens on the Leeds game, nor the commentary. But at least I could just watchj it instead of listenign to some pratts going on about stuff they know little about. Definite red for the foul on McCormack, can't believe he bottled that. Some other strange decisions, both ways, but that was the one that was crucially incorrect. His back was turned when Brown and the other guy went head to head. It was both ways that one though, so very glad he didn't see it. A good away perfformance, and was impressed by our defensive solidity most of the time. 5th near the turn of the year - only 8 points off 2nd (we were 15 points behind a couple of months ago). If we buck our usual post-Xmas trend, we could really be in with a shout here.
I think we were watching the same game, but the difference was probably that you were in a pub & I was at home sober. I've recorded the game so will watch it again.
Agreed!! While he could have done better with a couple of half chances (Rudi had a couple of better ones, IMHO), I don't think he got much in the way of decent service. No creativity in midfield. Brown luckyto be on the pitch at the end (should have been second yellow for him and red for Ince) and Tonge quite invisible.
I don't think Ross can be blamed for either barnsley or today. He needs others to create for him as he cannot take on the whole opposition himself. He did have the odd go at them and was unlucky. If broadfoot hadn't pulled him back (cheated) he probably would have made it 2-1 and we'd praising him once more

Lose to Forest sunday thatll be 2 points from 3 (2 points from 2 teams who cant even buy a win) what will you be shouting for ? McDermotts head
Hey Billy. I know Watford have some talent but they were out of form coming to Leeds. Their previous 10 results were W L W L D L D L L D which is why I wasn't too happy with us drawing at home to them. Looks like Forest will be tough game after their result tonight.
Regardless of forest result, we are firmly evolved in a promotion battle like it or not mighty. Despite all the rubbish you wrote at the start of the season about lomas making astute signings, you're now grateful he's gone leaving you hanging on near the foot of the table. We're playing on two very different levels at the moment and wouldn't expect you to have the first idea what it's like in the top six
I was sober in the pub - driving. Don't think it is a game worth watching again but I didn't see it as bad as everyone else seemed to. For an away performance it was solid and we really hassled them from the front throughout the match. Would have liked to have see Ariyibi come on last 5 for Smith - he looked dead on his feet by then
I was attempting to be funny, Sheldon. In fairness, there were some good patches. There were also some pretty bad patches, the worst being whenever the referee blew his whistle! I'd have liked to see Ariyibi play too, but I suspect wylie old BM is breaking him in gently as to what he can expect playing for Leeds. Think there's a good chance the crowd might have scared the poor lad to death!
I agree, our best football was with Blackstock in there. Blackstock isn't a fantastic striker but it was the difference in options he provided
Did we play better football, did we win more points, did he have as many chances, did he miss as many chances? I don't know the answer to all of those but I do feel Smith attracts the long ball and now we have finished a pretty easy run of playing the bottom half teams we will soon get caught out IF we are in a slightly false league position.
Thats nothing to do with what I said. Blackstock brought balance to the team, I'm not even necessarily saying we had better results with him in the team (I actually have no idea whether we did or not) but we just looked better on the eye imo.
