The sad thing is, they don't see it like that. As far as they're concerned, they've probably "supported" them since being a kid and equate being a fan with buying a shirt and watching on TV. I pity the fools.
Good point. Why are we starting a player who has scored one goal in 18 months, and missed at least two chances a decent striker would have buried today. Gedo with his anticipation and strength in the box would be ideal to play off Sagbo. And give Fryatt the late sub minutes. Sagbo deserves a far better partner for all his efforts. Bruces persistence with him and Koren who did nothing in the second half is hard to understand. Otherwise a fantastic effort by the lads.
I never criticise refs but today was a bottle less performance from Oliver. Valencia should have had a yellow first half and would have been off earlier. Janusaj bkd first half dives 80 mins time ref waves it away doesn't bk him. 2 minutes later he dives right in front of moyes, nothing given again moyes is screaming at hi to get up as he fears another bkg, ref does nothing. Foul from jake, he says summat to the ref and gets yellow and a good talking to. Cleverly wel beck Rooney in the refs ear all the time nothing. Diving diving ****s. At one point wel beck was expecting the challenge instead chezzy jockeying him he was bouncing up n down waiting for the leg to come out wanting to dive over it.
Hard luck lads. The cheers from the plastic ****s in the concourses today (the game was being shown on the television screens pre-match) when United took the lead made my blood boil. Wanted you to do United today but I suppose their class shone through.
At least four of my mates 'support' United and I just can't understand it, as far as I'm concerned that's like me supporting Belgium instead of England. Yeah there were times where you just had to appreciate how class players like Rooney and Janujaz are, but it's so infuriating to see them ruin that by diving around everywhere. Today was even worse than Palace last season. I was talking to the United kit man about it and he said that they had hired Tom Daley as a new coach.
The referee bottled it today, he couldn't be seen to be giving a young up and coming star a booking for diving when there where at least two blatant dives. The others may have been but i would like to see them again. Welbeck and Rooney did it to, and the moaning at the referee deserved far more than the one yellow it got. Figueroa did one foul got a booking, then Valencia does exactly the same three times in the first half gets nothing. The movement by them was excellent, but i felt we created far more clear cut chances. I don't get the Bruce praise, he made some great tackle but he shouldn't have had to make those tackles, he should of been tighter to the player in the first place, he dropped off his man to much today. The opposite of Liverpool where he stuck so tight to Suarez. I feel for Sagbo but i think he needs work, he works hard and creates great chances but he doesn't seem to get in the box enough to me. But thats something we can work on. We deserved a point.
He has such talent though, watching him you saw that his movement was incredible, United's second best player IMO. Not had a massive problem with United before today but it's probably the most frustrated I've ever been.
I can't add much to that to be fair. Absolutely shocking from Man United. Yanusaj, Young, Welbeck and Rooney dived throughout the game - mainly English players... I thought diving was predominantly a Foreign player problem. Also, what happened to Moyes saying it wasn't acceptable. It was embarrassing for everyone involved. And how Evra, Welbeck and Rooney were in the refs ear all game... Great grit from our team however, with plenty of shots at goal (which was nice to see). Huddlestone was class, however A.Bruce deserved Man of the Match.
Absolutely agree. Apart form the diving, Yanuzaj's substitution was the kick start to their win (best player IMO). I've always liked Man Utd's tradition etc... I felt genuinely let down watching them.
Just watching the game again. The header Curtis DAvies had second half when i thought he must score!! Just as he heads it Smalling pulls his shoulder down, stopping him getting a clean header. Cheating ****ing manc scum. Most cynical team I've seen.
Moyes and Neville were giving Elmo some grief in the second half about something, and Moyes gave Elmo the diving gesture when he got tackled by Evra.....Biggest Pot, Kettle, Black moment of the entire season by a country mile! I always though Moyes was a decent bloke/manager but he looks like a desperate man that will do anything to win, including getting his players to throw themselves to the ground at the first chance they get. Michael Oliver bottled it though big time....how we got the first yellow of that game I'll never know?
We hear all this **** about the Mn United way, Carrington, glory football, Best, Charlton, Ronaldo. A hollow myth. Journos get frozen out if they focus on the cheating seamy underbelly that we saw today. Conning the officials, bullying them, ripping off the fans, systematic diving. Like a vermin of the present day.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...ridge-as-they-went-2-0-down-against-Hull.html "We're **** and it's the bridge's fault"
He should blame their driver, I passed their bus on the M180 doing about 60mph....and there were 2 booths open not 1! We only queued for 10 minutes extra...seeing what he wants to again! What a dick!
Like you I'd always thought Moyes was a decent individual until today. His antics on the sidelines were deplorable...raving at the 4th official....flailing his arms etc etc. He really does look like a desperate man. And his players, notably Rooney and Welbeck were even worse. The ref was a pathetic little boy being bullied by Thug Wayne. ManU supporters can take no pride in their teams performance today. Our players showed real class.
Absolutely brilliant performance by the boys today, if we play like that against Fulham we will wipe the floor with them, but we need to bring that intensity to the game, can't go in thinking it'll be an easy win because Fulham are looking dangerous now. Rooney's goal was quality but apart from that we well and truly had their measure. Chester was in everything, clearly had the adrenaline up playing his old side! Agree somewhat on Graham, but some of his hold up play was good and got in the right area in the box. The thing about Sagbo is he generally isn't great in the air, so not so sure how good he'd be dealing with a cross coming to him in the air, but we don't see him go for it very often so musn't have much confidence in himself. Agree that I'd like to see Gedo playing off him as that pacey strong striker that I think best suits Sagbo's style.
