As a referee myself, I try not to be critical of others and am usually able to be objective about performances. Today he missed 2 big ones, both involving RMac. Fisrt one, no doubt in my mind - red card for DOGSO. Correct to give free kick, not a penalty. Second one - 80th minute or so, clear foul on RMac at edge of area again, but not given.
Such a disappointing result.... I'm absolutely fuming again. People can argue that ref decisions could have gone either way and therefore its a fair result. Nah, not for me. Ref has made numerous poor decisions that could have changed the game completely today. I'm 90% sure that Ross would have put that chance away had he not been pulled back. Even if not, playing against 10 men for the last 20 minutes we may have got something. Can we be pleased with 1 point from that? If we are happy mid table, then yes. If we want any chance of staying in the playoffs. Absolutely not. Another team that cant stop losing, avoid it against us. I think ultimately our problem is if Ross isn't scoring we don't win. And this is a major concern of mine right now
I actually disagree. Blackpool had a good period after they scored and were really up for it. But I think we rode the storm well. I think we were the better side overall and we should be the ones unhappy without all points. Blackpool will feel like it was a just result, not an opportunity lost
Referee must be poor if Jonny's criticising him! Broadfoot should have been red carded first time around. A blatant red. What possible justification could he have for only a yellow. Also, Ince kicked out twice in full view of the ref & linesman. Not sure if he made contact, but that's not the point. Remeber Beckham's petulant kickout against Argentina? Same thing. He should have been hammered. We also had another dick forcing his head into Brown's head. Most players get sent off for that too. Ref was appalling & probably saved Ince senior's job. We were very much a one trick pony team today. Huff & puff & hump it up the park. Btw, anyone ever seen Paddy throw the ball out? I can't recall him doing it ever. He's the #1 culprit for hoofing the ball. You may have noticed I'm a trifle upset. Doesn't help that my deaf mother in law & sister & law have been shouting at each other & me throughout the match about the most banal & trifling subjects. Bad enough most of the time, but during the fitba'? Grrrr
Watford, Barnsley and Blackpool results - unbeaten but I still think we should have had 9 points from these games. Should have made a sub or two 10 mins before their equaliser today, could see the goal coming.
Ross had a **** game Austin had a **** game and thats when we play ****, Terrible game terrible pitch terrible ref How didn't he make a ****ing sub Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I agree that when Ross and Rudi don't play well we never get a result. And yeah, we just have no other (or better) options on the bench.
highlights the problem we've got up front. Expect some signings in January. Surprised we didn't see any changes... I think Ross has lost his confidence, looked off against Barnsley and today. They should not be interviewing players who are on great form, it gets them thinking about it and putting pressure on themselves. Think it's an old thing in baseball, you never talk about a hot streak a player is on because you might "jinx" it - jinxing is just another way of saying putting unnecessary pressure on a player that results in a loss of form.
Still think this is a very poor championship but even. Blackpool are awful but knocking on playoffs. Important thing for us will be the quality McD adds in next few weeks.three quality signings can still put us up among the top four. Probably need to beat forest now though
A couple of wingers and a top quality striker should see us through. Max Gradel would be perfect since he can play in striker role where Ross normally plays when Ross isn't having a great time.
For me ... Watford result was decent because their league position is false, they are a very talented team that will come on strong and threaten top six ... Barnsley and Blackpool are both just plain awful, and we really must beat these teams if we want to get promotion ... thankfully this division continues to be unpredictable, but I feel we are still one of the better teams and worthy of top six ... January is absolutely critical for us, and the quality of signings will probably make all the difference for us, three good ones and we're motoring ... Max Gradel would be superb, he can play at this level and his pace and determination as well as his goals will help us a lot ... we missed Mowatt and Murphy today ... ref definitely bottled the red card call against Broadfoot when he pulled back Ross, and boy it could have resulted in a broken leg for Zaliukas ... Blackpool will not make play-offs, and with that fool Ince at the helm it would be awesome if they went down!!
Just been thinking about the criticism Rossco is receiving. It's unfair IMO. The last 2 games have been almost 100% hoofball. And guess who doesn't do particularly well when we play hoofball? Why are people surprised? Check out the correlation between Rossco's 'poor' performances versus our 5age use of hoofball. Had his worst ever period with us when Warnock was here. Funny that! Last 2 games have been straight out of the Warnock Book of Hoof. I would go as far as guaranteeing Rossco having a poor performance any time we Play the Hoof.
