She won't do. She bleats about unacceptable stuff- although obviously of course never cites any example of them.... Then lectures others about them leaving the forum if they don't like their views being challenged. It's just what she does I'm afraid.....
' RE MODs on (all) forums - they appear to be long standing & passionate about their club' been through our many bankrupt / liquidation days; perhaps why they are ' anti ' ---- the thing we aren't discussing ..... Ps seeing as you asked many weeks ago ; first game home Sheff U 1979 - possibly third game of the season ; as a young teenager in the sway of Kempton (just a line of 'copper's between fans all standing in those days) I was hooked; could not remember the score (though checked & we won!) - it was all abut the 'meaning' of the experience & is still is ... I could easily go on but I'd be 'one of those poster who cares about.....
To be fair i hardly even look on this forum anymore cos all the good football chat and banter has completely gone out of the window. The only thread that is ever concentrated on the actual football these days is the man of the match threads!! Its a shame as i used to really enjoy coming on here and contributing when it was the old 606 and intially on here. Hell, i even quite enjoyed it when the Leicester wars were going on, at least some of that arguing was entertaining! Im not gonna offer a solution as i dont think there is one until the FA makes their mind up and the issue is settled but i just hope its quickly so all this arguing and infighting can stop and we can just concentrate on what a bloody good job Steve Bruce and the team are doing on the pitch
This thread is an example of how some posters want to get back to the football / banter etc. and others are more interested in trying to bait people into arguing because they need the arguments to continue. If you're one of the people being baited ask yourself why they are bothering and whether your response is what they are desperate for? Nothing will come from our positive suggestions about improving the forum. The only improvement possible is for all posters that read this to ignore those who only want to argue and leave them isolated.
On reflection, I agree with this statement. I see he's trying for a bite from you, so lets just ignore the ****er, see if that works.
If people are still interested in posting about the subject then why not let it be so? And if it's a genuinely new angle then why not a new thread? If you don't want to read an anti-namechange thread then don't read it. I think some of those who support Mr Allam just don't like to see again and again how much they are in a minority.
The hijacking of non-name-change-related threads is still going on, sadly. This was on the Fulham motm thread (the last place you want to see things veer off into a name change spat)... And this was a very odd and confusing rant in a thread about Thudd's charity fund...
But it's not hijacking, is it? It's someone making a comment and then responses come, as happens on a forum. You just happen to have highlighted two particularly stupid comments.
As far as I'm concerned it's hijacking - there are so many name change threads that infecting the football ones are the last thing we need. The one on the motm thread was particularly egregious.
