Bearing in mind the huge demand for tickets to watch the Swans this season, I thought this would be a relevant thread. Taking into account the fact that we had to leave 10% of seats for away fans at the Liberty, by my reckoning we should get the following allocations at away grounds (approximate as I've rounded down due to segregation etc.): Arsenal - 6000 Aston Villa - 4250 Blackburn - 3100 Bolton - 2800 Everton - 4000 Fulham - 2500 Liverpool - 4500 Man City - 4700 Man Ure - 7500 Newcastle - 5200 Norwich - 2700 QPR - 1900 Stoke - 2700 Sunderland - 4900 Tottenham - 3600 West Brom - 2600 Wigan - 2500 Wolves - 2800 (may be less as they're developing ground) Which games will we sell out our allocation for? And which will see huge queues outside the Liberty for hours before to buy tickets.
Bear in mind that tickets for these games could be double or treble for away games, think we will be lucky to be more than 3k for any of the games, think we are going to have to wait and see, a lot will depend on how we are doing next season.
I think first away game, regardless of opposition, will sell out immediately. I also think the top 6 clubs in the league last year will sell straight away too. On the flip side, I'll be surprised if we take 500 to Norwich!
Apparently it is 10% or 2000 which ever is lower. So some of those will be no where near what we will get. Some of the home sides may increase away tickets as we will not be seen as an attractive game for home supporters. If memory serves me right i think the allocation is about 3000 for both Man u and Arsenal.
You get a whole stand at Wigan, the same as every other club, it's capacity is supposed to be 5,400, but the police rarely allow more than 5,000. I hope you fill them and enjoy your time at the DW, but anyone who wishes to abuse Martinez, please stay away and good luck for the coming season
Why would anyone abuse Martinez ? We played you in the cup already, and people let off then a little , but nothing serious at all
Well I can tell you now that if it's hours waiting in the queue, the the board can sling they're hook, I'm not doing it, I'm not waiting 10 hours in any queue for some poxy ticket office to open at 11: O'Clock, our ticket office need a rocket up they're backside, I'll book my seat on SKY, Yes forced armchair supporter will do till they get they're act together!..................... please log in to view this image
We need a bigger ticket office, it's so small and cramped!! It will be bedlam if things continue as they have done the past few weeks!
On the plus side those clubs that employ a tiered approach to pricing wil probably have us in the cheapest band e.g. Spurs have category A, B & C and they will undoubtedly have us as a C which probably means £30/£35 a ticket as opposed to £45/£50 for an A
We will do well to get more than 3k at places like Old Trafford and the other so called glamour clubs. Should get more at Wigan, Blackburn etc but as everyone says the selling of the tickets will be a shambles. I work full time Monday to Friday and I can't see myself having a chance to get tickets for the bigger games as tickets will go on sale on a Wednesday and I'll be stuck in work
I'd suggest booking tickets online Dill, I've done it a few times as my dad (we go as a family) works away and can't get to the stadium to buy them normally. Not done many away trips but it's a good way to get things sorted.
The Swans fans who have been attending away matches for several seasons should be guaranteed tickets for every away match (the booking office/Travel Club should have a fair idea of who they are) Any surplus tickets should be sold on a basis to ensure that as many Swans fans as possible get to experience an away match (ie if you attend one away match you are not eligible to attend another away match until the waiting list has been exhausted) Will be a bit of a problem for the ticket office, but they will have sweet FA to do as virtually all home tickets have been sold.
Totally disagree with this. (I'm assuming you are one of said people 'who have been attending away matches for several seasons'. (I am as well)). The away tickets should be made available to season ticket holders first, then general public, like always, regardless of how many away games you have been to.
I don't agree with above post. ST's holders have their seats for home games, should be general sale from the off for away games.
I have heard they are looking at a points system. in that if you travel to Norwich, Blackburn and the like you obtain a high number of away points and will have first dibs for the glamour fixtures. It is a system used by other clubs. The only problem with that is what if our first four away games are Man Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool and Spurs.
I agree with Ash, there is no way ST's holders, should be in front of the queue for away games! and on top of that, those that have historically supported the club away should get priority, they are a special bunch of lads that are always on the road, I know I've been amongst them, and they need to be given priority by the club!................... please log in to view this image
Thanks Chris, don't really fancy booking online as I don't trust anyone with my bank details, especially the ticket office but I may have to. Difficult for someone like myself to get there weekdays as I work full time and don't have time to queue in my lunch hour. I go regular away and it would be very frustrating if I cant get to the plum fixtures. Last season I went to Hull, Wigan, Palace, Reading, Norwich, Barnsley, Doncaster, Scunthorpe, Derby, Pompey, Forest, Leeds,Leicester, Middlesboro and Cardiff as well as Wembley and a failed attempt at getting to Sheff Utd. I wonder how many others can say the same ?
You're allocation for Arsenal will be about 3,000 and the tickets should be around £38. Best of luck for next season
