I know this has been said before and yes I know we should all get over him. (which most of us are.) But this season sees the first return to the Liberty of Mr Martinez. Personally I wont Boo, neither will i clap him. ( I exorcised all that in our away trip to wigan this year).

Would just like to know how all you feel about his return. Boo, Clap or just plain ignore him.

Dependant on result, and his reaction to said result. Swans win, I will clap him. Draw, I will ignore him. And, heaven forbid, Swans lose and Mr Martinez excessively revels in the moment, then it's Boo from me.

Without Roberto we'd not be playing our passing style of football, without him leaving us we'd never have had Paulo to sort out our defense or have hired Adrian Tucker to vastly improve Dorus. Without PS leaving we'd not have hired Buck and probably not have had Scotty or Fabio down here.

So I thank all of our past managers for their work, but I'm glad each and every one of them has left. I've got no time to feel bitter this season, there is just too much to enjoy.

We were all pissed off when RM went to Wigan and rightly so but as Chris mentioned i don't think we would be where we are now without RM so i for one let it go a long time ago,We should now be talking about what Brendan does for our club and not raking up the past.

People really need to give the guy a break like and get over it. Your all grown ups, he provided us with the foundations of where we are today so cant quite understand why people STILL have an issue.

There's more to life people and for god sake cant people just focus on where we are today instead of the past!

    That is all.:bandit:

Well as long as we win who cares ;) seriously though why not treat the guy the same way as any other manager? Kenny Jackett has been here with millwall, and he got applauded even when they beat us, time to move on now I think!

I got over the Martinez saga when we played Wigan in the cup. I now have a bit of a soft spot for Wigan and I always look out for their news. In fact when I heard that Martinez was staying at Wigan I was really glad that he is loyal to them and I hope that what he and we went through when he left helped him in that decision to stick with Wigan. We're a better team now for him leaving and he's probably a better manager for leaving. We're all happy now:emoticon-0100-smile

I Think most of us got over him leaving pretty quick, no problem There, what gets most people wound up was him stealing the family sil er,alot of which was here before him! Unsettling players that were lett behind didnt help us either! Sousa did really welll to Steady the ship when bob lett us in the lerch. All this banging on about martinez making us special is a nonsense, the wheels were in motion Long before we took bobby from the impending dole que at chester.

We Are doing a massive dis service to flynn, jacket and the board by holding bobby up as the reason for our success, also dont forget that he knew every player inside out when he game here that gave him a massive head start.

Where would martinez be if it wasnt for the chaiman taking him off the scrap heap of life

Meant to carry on typing There ;)

Bob should remember he owes the swans his new way of life and healthy bank balance, not dave whelen, who was not There to pluck him from total obscurity like we did! How did he thank huw jenkins? By dissappearing, not ansering his phone and leaving all pre season plans up in the air with no arrangements made. Then to rub it in he stalked our club for 2 years trying to unsettle playing staff !

Im not having this bobby sa ed the club and startes it all off Bull ****e, he almost destroyed us by doing what he did at the time he did it, he gets nothing from me and many others and im a very fair minded

....person! Total lack of respect shown by him towards our club, after the gamble the club took on him by giving him a job, respect was the least he should have shown !

We got well rewarded and whelan paid for Scotland to go there, Gomez wasn't ours and couldn't afford him anyway, the backroom staff went and we had a fee for them, yes I was pissed off at the time, but looking at the bigger picture he did us a favour because honestly we would never get to the premier league without sousa coming to us and showing us how to defend, even if it did bore me to death ;)

Brendan took the above to a different level and got us promoted.

Looks like Wigan are going to lose N'Zogbia; I don't anticipate them doing anything more than battling to stay up like they did last year .... we may be looking down at them in the table whenever we meet. So I'm sure if that's the case we'll all quietly have a little chuckle.

There was nothing to get over with Martinez , he made us better by miles & he left for the Premier League under an understanding between him & Huw . Even other Premier League teams are interested in Roberto . Good on him , he took his great chance & now sees another team in the Premier , in part , because of him !!

Roberto Martinez is a Swansea legend. He was one of the 11 who kept the Club in the Football League.

THERE IS NOTHING MORE TO SAY ON THE SUBJECT! (End of rant) ;)

I still harbour a little bit of resentment (almost miniscule) as to the way he conducted himself in leaving not in the fact he left, as any manager as well as player wants to ply their trade at the top level, but I am sure that after 6 points against them this season even that little bit of resentment will disappear and he will be just another manager at just another club (who will hopefully be below us)
