Sunderland striker Ji Dong-won has agreed personal terms with Borussia Dortmund. South Korean sources say Ji has struck an agreement with BVB ahead of completing his move to Dortmund next month. The striker is about to enter the final six months of his Sunderland deal and won't be blocked from moving to Germany. VfB Stuttgart are also in contact with Ji, though BVB remain favourites for his signature.
I don't think he will be the last outgoing member of our squad in january and I can honestly see the likes of Whickham, Graham (permanent deal) and 2 or 3 others making way for 2 or 3 new faces that Gus is chasing. We need at least 3 key players in the next 2 or 3 weeks to give us a chance of mounting a survival campaign up to May and to do that we will need to free up some wages and fees.
We need some quality that is for sure. No more squad players, no more development, no more experiments.... first 11 quality signings is what is needed.
Agreed. Any new faces coming into the club this window will have to be ones that play from day one in the first team and have an immediate impact not in 3 or 4 months time, which is why I think any new signings will be already EPL experienced or at least British based and settled here.
