    Great signing!

Reminds me of when we got DeVos and look how much we've missed him!

Apparently there's more news at 3pm which will "cheer Town fans up", although im not sure we need much cheering up at the moment.

Don't mention being on a roll Tim, we might get interest from Holt.

All in all though, things are starting to take shape... optimistic outlook...

:laugh:What I am starting to like is the fact that we are attracting quality, that must be down to PJ selling the club in a way I don't think Keano
    would have done!

Chops said he liked what he heard and that must bode well in the motivation stakes once the season starts.

Lets hope we get off to a flyer and get the ground rammed with the kind of support lacking over the last 4-5 years.

Pity about Bullard but it seems they tried hard to get him, its just the tight a--ed Yorkshire mentality that won't give him us for free!

    Good News!

He is a bit on the old side but he's only signed a one year deal so it should suit us. Still need at least 1 more CB i'd say.

    Things are looking up!

Am I the only one that is not particularly excited by Ingamarson signing? Ok, he's a cracking player, but at 33?? surely we need some younger "hungry" players in that need to possibly prove a point, rather than players that are in the twilight of their career?

Stretchy the point is that we desperately need an experienced leader on the pitch. A player that can command those around him and also has the quality to lead by example. This guy reminds me of the Wizard DeVos or Tony Mowbray as another example. We've signed him on a year contract so the risk is also minimal.

chopra - err, no chance! i laughed hard when i saw that one!! i hope your dealers are fully loaded with drugs and alcohol, though at least you didn't pay the £4m they asked for last year... pardon the pun, but he won't crack enough goals in to get you promoted ;)

Great news on Ingimarsson! Experienced head to help our youngsters develop, while he's also still got the quality. Very happy!

i don't know warky but holt's is far better than that for us! 1 in 1.5 i reckon. either way, that wasn't the point i was making - the reason i found it hilarious is because of his personality which is likely to be a major problem. he is well known as a liability off the pitch and is the exact opposite sort of player you'd want to be bringing in. you want to be bringing in someone with something to prove, not someone who is on the verge of throwing his career away. his goal record is not as good as many would have you believe and if what i've heard is true and he is your highest paid player then i think you will have massive issues because he is not a team player. and have you seen the size of the lad? he'll make jason scotland look like naomi campbell!!
