No. They might buy ground rights if we ever own the ground and go up.

    Well there are more possibilities.

First of all you need to know, that Red Bull bought SV Austria Salzburg when they were completely bankrupt, like LUFC was when Bates came.
So they took over a club that was nearly "dead".

That's what Red Bull always does. Red Bull took over parts of (I think) the Metro Stars in NY which had severe financial problems and made the Red Bulls New York out of them. So again it was an "unimportant or bankrupt" club.

Then they bought a Brazil club in 6th tier. The club never was big.

And last but not least Red Bull Leipzig. A former good club with a modern, huge stadium in the 5th german tier.

So till now they just took over bankrupt or/and unimportant with huge potential. Only Salzburg was a bigger club with success (years ago). But it was the first try ... many mistakes were made with Salzburg, but now it's one of the best managed clubs in central Europe I would say!

There are also other Red Bull teams. Because Reserve teams are no longer allowed in the second league in Austria, the Red Bull Juniors (official club reserve) had to go down. Many experts critisized that, so they took over a another club in Austria, called it cooperation and said that they are independet, but get financial help and many youth players come on loan. This club is now red and white, got a new logo and is sponsored by Red Bull.
So it's more a "hint" to dodge this dumb rule, because THIS club is allowed to promote and also managed to.
Many young players play for this Team. Imho very important for the future.

Then there are also other teams like SV Pasching. Former Austrian Bundesliga-club and was in runner-up round in UEFA-Cup. Then they were bought by an Austrian politician and combined with another team. This new team went bankrupt. A new FC Pasching was formed but had real severe Problems.

Red Bull decided to help the club, took over the debts, loan them good players, "buys" them new players, bought the stadiu, trainings ground and so on.
THIS CLUB IS STILL GREEN! Same logo, no Red Bull in it and no Red Bull on the Shirt.
FC Pasching won the austrian Cup in 2013 and so they were allowed to for Europa League but sadly lost against a portuguese club.

So as you can see there is not only "Take over club, make it red and white, put 2 bulls in the crest", there is also just financial help and Investment.
and as you can see Red Bull never took over an important and successful club! Leeds United is a brand and I think that they do know that the critics would be too much. They learned of their mistakes.

I think IF they invest in LUFC they just would buy Thorp Arch und Elland Road (or even build a new one) and gives the club money to buy new players. Why would they do that? I think because they would buy the rights for the names and players. Just imagine Ross McCormack would be in a Red Bull Commercial!
They would earn a lot of money. And just by being in the media, People talk about Red Bull and so they are still known and successful.

Btw I don't think they would do that. England is simply too big and to huge. The proportion between investing and earning is simply not big enough I think.
    But well, who knows ;)

I think many people are simply too scared of Red Bull and don't know a lot about the club. There are some blogs who are totally against Red Bull, read that and get afraid. But did you know for example that Red Bull built up the most modern TV channel in Austria. Nowhere's Red Bull in it! You don't see Red Bull!
It's got the best HD in Austria and Germany.
Did you know that they even built up a new racing circuit in Austria? I was there and yeah there are some Banners of Red Bull but it's kept totally modern and huge!

I am against the Red Bull Salzburg project, because I think they could have done it in other ways, but you can't change that now, but what they are doing now is excellent, especially for Austria.
I hope they could do something similar like FC Pasching for Leeds United.
Just imagine a new Stadium or modernised Elland Road and millions, without Red Bull in crest, logo or Shirt ...

But as I already said, I can't imagine that Red Bull will invest in LUFC

Cheers guys and thanks for the compliment btw!

I once wrote an article on my former blog (http://nr32ontheback.wix.com/nr32ontheback#!english-red-bull---leeds-united/c1ruh) but the critics were quite huge. I can understand their fears but there are some things that are still unseen ... At the end it doesn't matter if it's Red Bull, GFH, Pepsi or Radebe, most important is a bright and successful future for LUFC!

    Hi guys,

Leeds fan from Lincolshire. I was brought up a Leeds fan as my Nan was from Leeds and my mum was brought up to be one.

First game was against Sunderland during the O Leary era. Favourite game is a difficult one to answer as there have been so many. One that stands out a bit was away to Forest the week after Gary Speeds death. It was a good display and result but just for raw emotion it will stay in my memory a long time.

Worst game is also difficult to answer for, sadly, the same reason although a game against the Wendies does stick out during the Blackwell years.

Been lurking for a while, post a bit on yep site but it's a load of bollocks doing my head in so thought I'd sign up here.

Supported Leeds as long as I can remember so good twenty odd years, maybe twenty years if it's only the parts I remember.

first match I got to was in '96 my uncle took me to see us against scum and we got battered. Don't actually remember too much about the game, think I was a bit shellshocked, the atmosphere was intense. Loved it, apart from the crushing defeat think it was a Nigel Marytn own goal that started it off.

Kinda set the tone, my personal ****test match was deciding to go leyton orient at last minutes notice, couldn't get tickets so decided to go in the home end worked. Worked perfectly well except we ain't had a drink and they don't serve booze, in our infinite wisdom decide to wear a Leeds shirt to a match for the first time.

We took our jumpers off and within two minutes a gaggle of stewards were forming and the odd rumble from people sitting around us was worth it. Removed from the ground before it even kicked off, managed to get our tickets changed to away tickets even though there were none so we could sit with the lads except I didn't have any id or my membership card. Spent the game outside, got eight stellas and a kebab. dear do, 2-2 draw anyway and no ****ing match.

On a different note I reckon in '95 I'd pass for a pretty good double of micheal-the-messiah-browne from that picture with Lucas(looks like Lucas anyway hurting my neck and ain't turning my monitor on it's side)

Nice insight on Redbull Nr32OnTheBack, just reading the blog now.
