Basically they flash their lights to let other drivers out of a junction, then crash into them on purpose! This happened to my partner today with my 6 month old daughter in the car! Police was called and witness said they had seen the person flash my parnter out, But when the police came he said it was my partners fault? Go figure, At this point i arrived and told them it was a scam and had witnesses! Abulance and all the bollocks came and taken the one person to hospital  WTF (Dont need the highway code brigade telling me that my partner was wrong, i know)

Anyway, Thank god my wife and daughter are fine.

******s and cowards. They will always go for 'softer' targets such as the elderly or women with small kids. Glad your wife and daughter are ok pal.

Can't stand no mark ****s that will stop at nothing to earn a quick buck, instead of doing an honest days work.

That's not to mention the financial cost to the NHS, more work for our over stretched A&E departments and a life saving ambulance being taken out of action. Doesn't bare thinking what the consequences of that could be.

Selfish, scummy behaviour of the highest order.

This isn't a new thing, it's been going on for years. Basicly, trust no ****er else on the road.
I had a drunk driver go wrong way round the roundabout two nights ago. Took out my entire drivers side. Police said he blew 130. Legal limit is 35.
Good to hear your family are ok.

I've recently written online about this on behalf of one of my clients, a well known solicitors. If you think it is a case of crash for cash then Crimestoppers have set up a Cheatline specifically for this which you can ring up freephone 24/7, 365. The number is 0800 422 0421. As long as your partner didn't admit to the crash then you will be fine, they will get caught. Does she know how many passengers there were, reg plate, any photographic evidence etc etc? There's a lot of media coverage around this at the minute and it's very, very common.

I knew someone in my previous job who did exactly this to someone. But not because he was a scummy scammer - he was just so dimwitted and unobservant that he should never even have been behind the wheel of a car to start with. Apparently he made three insurance claims in the same number of months for separate incidents.

I nearly had this happen to me in reverse yesterday, I flashed someone to pull out as I was pulling into the junction they were waiting at and its very tight, they just sat there so I started moving then they just shot out right in front of me.

Also what are the chances the other car just went over a bit of a bump and your mrs thought it was a flash? If they have their dipped beams set on highest tilt it would only take the slightest little bump to make the bulbs point upward and look like a main beam flash.
