Carrying on the theme of former players, who is peoples favourite/worst loanee, we seem to have had a few over the years.

Steven Taylor for a month, 17 years old, came into a side bottom of the league, just started organising the whole defence on his own whilst being utterly brilliant, no wonder people were saying he was nailed on for being a future England player. Still one of the most technically gifted players I have seen in a Wycombe shirt.

favourite loanee? scott davies was incredible when he came on loan the first time, but ruined it with a second spell.
worst loanee? simon church- he was sent off in the first match i saw him, although has done fairly well since

Steven Taylor was brilliant for that month, hasn't quite lived up to expectations since then as I was certain he'd be an England regular by now. Luke Moore and Tom Heaton are 2 others that stand out for me.

Heaton, and Akinde for short term impact.

Worst - Broughton, Zema Abbey, Bas Savage, and to be honest there are probably others that I've just forgotten about.

Scott Davies, first spell, superb. If someone can persuade him he's not D Beckham, he will will be a good solid player who can always get goals from midfield.

Forgot about Luke Moore, he was excellent, didn't he finish on a hatrick? Frank Fielding was very usefull as well.
Iffy Onoura....awful. I remember one guy in the crowd shouting "your not just Iffy, your downright sh*t!"

I recall at least 4 excellent keepers. Matt Duke, Andy Lonergan, Iain Turner and Tom Heaton. Even Ricardo Batista did a decent job.

Sean divine has to be up there with the best. His goals whilst on loan saved the club from relegation.

One of the worst was steck ??? Not sure if I have spelt that right but the west ham keeper . 2 shockers on his debut against brentford . He was a good shot stopper but kicking was dreadful. In the last few minutes of one game that was heading for a draw he sliced a kick to an attacker who scored with about 30 seconds to go

hahaha marek stech, he was appalling. Incidentally, he went to bournemouth later that season, played 1 match and conceded 6 goals.

I'd add Frank Fielding to the list of top keepers we've had on loan

Stech was a decent shot stopper but that was all. His kicking was awful and I remember the goal Bizza is talking about. I think it was against Rochdale and Le Fondre scored the goal which put us out the automatic places for the first time in a while that season. We had so many players on loan that season who helped us stumble over the line though. Akinde, Balanta, Sawyer, Sinclair, Moussa etc.

Good shout about Devine, I forgot he was on loan initially when he scored all those goals.

My favourite loanee would be Stuart Lewis, during his one month loan, he more than showed his true worth in a side that had a soft belly. Hopefully he will continue in the same vein next season.
