Oh good lamb isn't doing the match thread. The last two times he's done it, Boruc was ruled out for 6 weeks and Hooiveld, Fox and Gazzaniga all played together.
Well for what it's worth... the only other match thread I've done this season, Andre Marriner also refereed. It was the 2-0 win and domination of Fulham. You can thank me later.
Fancy us to beat them were playing well just poor defensive errors have let us down. Fonte and shaw will come back in and hopefully osvaldo so I fancy us to be much more solid at the back come Boxing Day. 2-0 win for me shaw to get his first goal!
OMG I hadnt realised that. (Stands at the back of class for the rest of the lesson) Tom you can do Everton!
They are a good side, and not to be underestimated. It's about time we had some luck though! 2-0 or 3-1 saints, our old favourite scorelines.
I would actually be in favour of cropper starting to be honest, gazza hasn't done enough in these few games to be picked again.
Is away to Cardiff on a day that will have a large, rowdy, emotional and passionate rowdy for extra reasons, be the right day to blood a young keeper? We could destroy him in one game. I say if KD is not fit, then we go with Gazzaniga. hope that Fonte and Shaw are fit and we protect him a little more. The keeper coach has a quite one to one with him talking him though the errors in a positive manner.... then fingers crossed!
Just what we need...another game where the opposition are playing for their manager's job. Perhaps we should start a rumour that Mauricio is facing the sack...a few shots of David Salas crying in a corner should do it.
FLT, you're 100% right that it isn't the time to blood a new young keeper, but he can't be worse than Gazzaniga. 7 goals conceded from 9 shots on target says it all. Boruc would have got at least half of the goals he has conceded. I think we should tape up Boruc's broken hand and play him anyway. Even with one hand he is twice the player of Gazzaniga.
I agree. I am no supporter of Gazza for us in the long term, but am predicting a good performance on Boxing Day. It's about time our academy managed to turn out a super keeper...perhaps that should be the next aim.
