I can't really tell you more than I have happy. Just that I'm told Seat focus more on cosmetic style at expense to build quality and durability and that that goes along with the only 2 Seats I've known anyone to own. On one the recliner handles just came off in your hand (he ended up losing one) and the other the plastic trim just inside the door kept popping off and tripping you up and the plastic down the side of the gear stick came off on one side where it meets the carpet and made the whole centre console wobble.

Right you are, in my case the near side brake light is the only one that keeps blowing. The headlight bulbs are a pain in the arse to get to as well. The only other qualm I have with it is more a common sense issue, in that they'd supply the V5 with a choice of the comfort or sport suspension, and the comfort which mine has is far too soft for such a front heavy car. Going down a bumpy road is as close as you could get to going out to sea in a rowboat when it's rough; far from bloody comfortable.

German efficiency is certainly no myth though, mines just hit 120k and still drives like brand new, nothing broken, no rust. Bloody solid car, barring one of my old mans Octavia VRS' which was te very first one to be sold in the UK, I've never known anyone have serious problems with a VW group vehicle that was made in the last 10 to 15 or so years.

My new car has a fancy rear view mirror that dims to prevent being blinded by inconsiderate ****ers behind you with main beam on. Fancy bastard me.

How you like those apples Bob?

VW been doing that for years <laugh>

Mines an 03 and got one of those dimmed mirrors. It could have been put on by a previous owner though in fairness.

Apples? Getting a bit fed up of them, planning on getting a Samsung galaxy at the end of my contract.

Exactly what I had my eyes on, if the s5 isn't out by then. You getting the 4g model? You'll have to let me know if its all its cranked up to be. 4g coverage is ****e out in the sticks where I amso no one has it, but my mate in shef reckons its overpriced and over rated.

I saw a genuine escort cossie the other day, can't be many of them left. They go for about 20k now. Hell of a car, one of the better things ford did, credit where it's due.

I bought one of those when I'd just turned 17 before I passed my test, albeit the wheels had been changed. Dozy cow who I got it off thought it was just an old bag of crap fiesta and sold it to me for £250!!! It was in almost pristine condition as well, only thing wrong with it was the rear axle was starting to rot, but the bodywork was immaculate and it had only done 70k miles with full service history. It was worth serious dough to an enthusiast, I doubt you'd find a better one anywhere.

But 2 days later a proper rare motocross bike I wanted went up for sale for £400, and after having scraped every penny I had at the time for the fez, I sold it to a lad I know for £650 so I could get the bike before it went. The twat never bothered changing the rear axle and scrapped the car when it collapsed the ****ing clown!

Gutted now, even though the bikes worth just as much, I'd rather have the xr2i now.

If nowt else, download the Snapdragon Battery Guru App for it. Install it, let it monitor you for a few days, then let it do its thing. Best app ever, made by the people who make the insides of the phone.

Oh and get Avast free AV for your phone too.

Word of warning though, if you change your SIM...remember who you got set up as the emergency contact. I swapped from Orange to EE this week, old sim out, new one in, booted up....

WHOOP! WHOOP! WARNING! WARNING! THIS PHONE HAS BEEN STOLEN! WARNING! WARNING! WHOOP! WHOOP!

Luckily my missus was next to me, got a text with a PIN in it and I was able to calm it the **** down. Thank christ I wasnt outside somewhere. Couldn't do a bloody thing with it. But, if anyone nicks me phone...lol.

Mine has as well, I find it a bit ****ing dark like. And I refuse to ever drive a car again where you have to turn on either the lights or the windscreen wipers.
