Looking at your fixtures I can see you getting 27 points from the remaining fixtures if you invest in January.
I do not know what the experts are saying will be a safety tally.
I think if we will find wins very difficult to come by.Hopefully with a good number of draws we will finish on 40
    How many points needed?

Don't forget to put your lottery tickets on, seeing as you can see into the future like that.

Think 17th will stay up with less than 40 as the entire bottom half is garbage. Being realistic we will probably be relegated but we can't throw the towel in yet with only being 4 points from safety and the best run in of any team down there.

Oh well that's settled then, best we forfeit the season eh? <doh>

Don't you just love it when people come on our board and not only lecture us on our situation but tell us our future? Thank god we've got them to keep us informed as we have no brains ourselves and are completely oblivious to our own plight. <doh>

I reckon 35-38 points this season, we need to win at least 6 at home and 1 away and draw 6 or 7, that should be possible. We should beat Palace, Cardiff, Villa, Stoke, Hull, WHU. Swansea, WBA, Soton, tough. Everton bogey team.

It's 3 days before Christmas and you're spending your Sunday evening studying Sunderland's fixtures <doh>

No wonder this country's going to the dogs.

I've just posted on another thread.the lowest points to stay could be as low as 31 like you say there is a lot of bad teams who will not pick up many points

i think most did and thats the pill we have to swallow ,a point at everton is possible of course ,but that fighting spirit must be evident like the chelsea game if the team puts in a totally committed shift it can happen, against the odds yes but attitude has got to be shown

I am in France but my heart is in the UK ......... I'll be returning home next year.

By the way, you mean 'thought you were in France' which is just another example of how spelling & grammar is going to the dogs in the UK <doh>

i believe there's only been one prem league where a team with 40 or more points was relegated (West Ham with 42 I think) so the target is more like 38 or 39, in fact, looking back over the last few years as few as 31 would have done it one season and frequently 36 or 37 would have been enough, so looking for forty is probably uneccesary and every point makes a big difference, as we all know
