The whole point of being in that section is to stand up and sing. Team didn't help today by a long shot, but these are the type of games where the "singers" rally round and get behind the team. Not ****ing stand there like lemons. Atmosphere now is a hundred times worse in the Prem with full houses, than it was in League 1 with 16,000.
Agreed. Too many plastics who weren't there through the bad times so don't truly appreciate the good times.
I was in the Northam today and it was way quieter than I have found it in other matches, only made noise up to when Spurs equalised and after that most people were just moaning or ironically cheering Gazza when he touched the ball and didn't screw it up.
I would have said the same about the Northam if we had won 5-0. But when the chips are down in games, thats when fans are supposed to play their part. The Northam have that responsibility, if they don't want to sing, fine, move to the Chapel End.
Doubt it. Get outsung every week by the away fans, even if the away fans number a couple of thousand. Must be 4000-5000 saints fans in the Northam / Kingsland corner. Even Lovren was waving his arms around trying to gee up the fans in the second half.
Indeed was s***, didn't hear a peep out of them. It's a joke maybe man u's idea to employee fans to get the crowding going isn't such a stupid idea after all. Where I was in Itchen wasn't to bad but don't have the numbers compared to northam.
CBK has a point. I think a big problem is that we (saints fan sweeping generalization) have got a bit big-time Charlie. We are not a top 6 team...yet. A good start and a few league tables with Saints in third or fourth got a few expectations raised. I still think we are roughly where we should be in terms of squad quality, size in comparison to the rest.
Exactly, 9th in the table is great. The fact that we are disappointed to lose to spurs speaks volumes.
A few did and I'm inferring that some seem to have assumed that we belong there. I'm still happy and enjoying this season. The last run of games with injuries has been a bit of a wake up call. We are 9th in the league, could be higher with some of the points give away, but overall, not a bad position. Three points at Cardiff will mean we are on 27 points before the turn of the year; that's ok.
To be honest, I'm happier sitting in Kingsland than the Northam. There are fewer chavs and I bet the people who sing all game are probably pissed and don't properly watch the game.
